This was the year to move up.

As usual. Reactive not proactive.
Not really. Teams where going to give up their QB target. After Maye the class got weak and I dont think we would have been able to move up for Maye.

And thats assuming they have no intention of resigning Prescott, which they do

Partially. Relevent in that they have been a quality team. They arent relevant as far as being contenders. They were weaker last year than they were in 2022. They will probably be weaker than they were in 2023 this year

It isn't realistic unless the Cowboys are terrible for some reason.

Say they pick 20th. Even if the top-5 teams don't need a QB, there will still be a whole bunch right behind them who do. Dallas, at 20, can't offer as compelling of a package as a team at, 7, 8, 9 etc.
