That's just my opinion. I believe I did say I'm glad we won but I didn't see anything to relieve my biggest fears with this team. I'm not going to jump up and down because we beat a team that couldn't get out of their own way, and then when we play a good team get crushed and pretend to be surprised. We are supposed to be competing for a Super Bowl, not to hopefully squeak in the playoffs then get eliminated after game one.
I don't care if it was your opinion. When I see something I don't agree with I'm going to give my response to that opinion. You whine about the Browns not having a QB or whatever. I DON'T CARE. That's not the Cowboys problem. The goal is to win the game and that is what we did on Sunday. Anything outside of that is another story.

If CeeDee Lamb for example insisted on being the highest paid WR in the NFL, to the degree that it was going to hogtie the team's Salary Cap, I wouldn't be surprised if Cowboy fans in general expected to see Lamb live up to his contract.
In like fashion, for a QB it seems fair to expect Mahomes type results for Mahomes type money, at least to a reasonable degree.

But with that said, hating carried to the extreme gets old in a hurry. And as has been said before, that ground has been covered and Dak's not going anywhere for some time, neither is his monster contract, whether we like it or not. It is what it is.
So childish name calling and personal insults serve absolutely no purpose whatsoever, especially among fellow Cowboy fans. Plus sharing time with fellow Cowboy fans will be a whole lot more enjoyable without all the unfriendly nonsense.

I didn't whine I simply stated the facts as everyone saw them. You replied to me so apparently you do care about my opinion, and you are whining about it now. I hate to sound repetitive, and you might not find this surprising, but I don't care that you disagreed with my posts. Shock, I know. With that said you have a nice day.

Why does this place get so contentious after a win?
Cause they aren't fans of the team. They rather the team lose so they can be right.

I don't like the dak contract but he's our QB and I'll root for him because eating crow is better than watching our team suck for 4 years just to be right.

They are building nothing. Same team as always. Beats bad teams in regular season, but we all know what will happen in the first playoff game.

28 years
hmmm....Browns were a playoff team with a top defense and the defensive player of the year. Other than playing backup OT's and a RB, why were they a bad team?

'Contentious' is a nice way of describing it :muttley: but it starts before the win when it appears the team has done enough to close out the game. My insanity makes me wish I could test a super-rich guy theory about the entire contentious nonsense.

I would love winning the Powerball (who won't?). I would offer a $10,000 check to every member, who could refrain from talking about any contentious topic, that originated before the game, all game long--from the opening kickoff to the final gun--in the first and second half gameday threads.

Sure. It would be money thrown down the drain but how many checks would I actually hand out? Who knows? What I do know is that the gameday threads would be populated by more comments about the game than not about the game. And that would be a great experience for anyone attempting to both moderate gameday threads and watch a game at the same time. :)

i think that expectation should be throughout the entire team.. Every coach and every player whether it's on a rookie deal whether it's on a small veteran deal or whether it's on one of these big mega deals they need to all be held accountable from the skill players to the kickers the punters and like I said to the coaches and everything we've had some from each level be the cause of our losses in the pre be the cause of our losses in the preseason our postseason early exits and all the complaints we get it keeps coming back to the quarterback and that gets old there has been so many players that we can remember off the top of our minds that just didn't do their jobs and cost us a game... Like I said every layer of this team in the last 28 years there's at least five moments with five different players from all parts of the team or the coaching staff that have been the reason we've lost the game.

and the refs lol it was a catch!!

But I just wanna say my perspective is I'm tired of hearing about the quarterback or the bigger names on our team that make the biggest money that doesn't matter to me they all should be equally held responsible for their misgivings and bad timings of them not showing up in the biggest games...
