It's called job security for the Refs!
These buffed refs have to throw a lot of flags to keep their muscles pumped. They can only get away with it against the Cowboys, Jets, and Raiders so they take advantage while they can.

Sloppy with some bad luck. I still don't understand why the Chargers weren't penalized for running into Turpin, but whatever.

Gotta say, all the back and forth/ good and bad play had me more stressed than any game this season.

Bones has a lot of work to do.

Was that a muffed punt or catch interference? They never addressed the fact that the defender also made contact with Turpin. I didn’t see if Turpin called a fair catch or not.
Assuming it was called correctly, I don’t understand how it can stand in the NFL.
Whether a fair catch or not, when a defender hits the receiver or prevents him from catching the ball, it’s a penalty. So if he grabs a blocker and throws him into the punt returner, that has to be a penalty as well. Now,if the blocker runs into his own man while trying to get to a block or pick a defender off, that’s a muff or all the fault of the receiving team. The Chargers guy purposely threw Tolbert into Turpin. If that is allowed, it’s a rule that should be changed.
