Playoff strengths have to be built up as well. This team right now is getting confrontational.wish they had that culture during the off season and the playoffs!

TOO ***' BAD! YOU SHOULD HAVE TRIED HARDER TO WIN EARLY IN THE SEASON, INSTEAD OF LOSING 5 GAMES STRAIGHT AND LOSING A CHANCE OF MAKING THE PLAYOFFS.What is tanking ? Benching starters ? What . You sign a guy to a healthy contract then what you “ bench “ him ? How do you ask Micah Parsons to sit in the bench. Ask Rico Dowdle going for a 1000 yards he’s worked hard to take a seat for Elliott ?
And what do you tell the coaching staff without any contract left facing unemployment hey don’t try and win possibly stay unemployed .
I know one thing the culture in places like New York both Jets Giants the Bears Jacksonville the Raiders must really stink because no matter what they keep drafting high on the list .
Like I've said before, leave that to the FO....but to expect or want players and coaches to tank is stupid. To want to watch your team play and get beat is disappointing and to be pissed off because we win a game is pathetic.Losers don't know how to win, especially when it comes to off-the-field maneuvering. Winning during a non-playoff season does nothing but keep the team relevant enough to keep the crowd still interested in filling out the home games, buying jerseys and merchandise while continuing to feed Jerry's ego and keep his pockets full. All winning while keeping the team average does is keep Jerry's business as the #1 richest sports business in the world, regardless of playoff success (or lack of it). Keep feeding those egos, but don't complain with the soon 30 years of accomplishing nothing. It's all about making money. Who cares about winning Super Bowls nowadays when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys.
Sometimes you've got to lose to win in the long run, especially when your own team solidified not making the playoffs earlier in the season and exposed too many holes still needing to be filled.Like I've said before, leave that to the FO....but to expect or want players and coaches to tank is stupid. To want to watch your team play and get beat is disappointing and to be pissed off because we win a game is pathetic.
Tanking talk is just fans over thinking....can you imagine if 22 teams realized after week 6 that they weren't winning the SB and they all started tanking? The losers would have to buy more popcorn and wear out the edge of their seats! The Cowboys would throw a pic and they'd all high 5 each other. We'd score a TD and they'd be throwing crap at the TV!! Wow....the twilight zone!! Lol..How many teams are really tanking though? The Browns and Giants are the only ones I think are legit tanking. Besides McCarthy has no job security so he has no incentive to tank.
If it works out that way, so be it...but for 10 teams trying to lose on purpose? Really....why even watch the frikkin game.Sometimes you've got to lose to win in the long run, especially when your own team solidified not making the playoffs earlier in the season and exposed too many holes still needing to be filled.
The funny part is that fans don't get paid and many still quit...Funny how guys get paid around here and then quit playing.
Why would they start the third string QB over the second string QB? Rush isn't starting QB quality, but he's shown that he can win some games. All Lance has shown is that the Niners let him go for a good reason.Starting Trey Lance right after dak went down would have ensured two things: we would have truly given him a shot and we would be drafting top ten at the last
Are you saying Parsons quit playing?Tell that to Trevon Diggs and Parsons......Funny how guys get paid around here and then quit playing.
They haven't picked between 11-17 every year. I don't know how many they have, but the number isn't 7 out of 35 tries. Also, I don't know how successful any other team has been on picks 11-17.7 guys. That's it? In 35 years since Jerry has owned the Cowboys has drafting between 11-17 only accomplished 7 legit stud players?
That's pathetically low. I wouldn't be bragging about that.
No one is asking players or coaches to tank, or to not compete whole-heartedly. The FO should be prioritizing player evaluations. Sit your studs, why risk them for nothing? That includes Rush who - while not a stud - is a known commodity and won't be here next year anyway. Play the young backups and see if anyone rises up; losses will take care of themselves. Given this FO has lifetime job security, it's asinine to be playing to win these games now.Like I've said before, leave that to the FO....but to expect or want players and coaches to tank is stupid. To want to watch your team play and get beat is disappointing and to be pissed off because we win a game is pathetic.
So Jimmy Johnson is a loser? You have a strange way of seeing things.Losers don't mind losing....why compete if you don't care. Bust your azz and let the chips fall where they may. Leave the losing to the pencil pushers and fans that think Jerry will turn it all around with a couple of extra loses. I guarantee, anyone on the field, that has busted his butt, played through injury and with pain, does not want to lose. Their livelihood is riding on playing well.
Tanker are losers....you can't argue that. And don't try to sell the take a step back to take two steps forward. Someone will slam that door shut when you step back.
Depends on the draft. JJ Watt was 11th.They haven't picked between 11-17 every year. I don't know how many they have, but the number isn't 7 out of 35 tries. Also, I don't know how successful any other team has been on picks 11-17.
Oh, so that's why.I continue to have NO idea why fans think players and coaches will lose on purpose for a few spots in draft position that they may not be around to make.
Which is why we don't win playoff games. The Cowboys won't ever tank. I'll never understand why some fans consistently call for them to tank over the years when they fall out of playoff contention. It simply won't happen. The Cowboys want a playing to win culture. There is no thought of winning or losing to improve or hurt their draft position.
Who the hell is talking about Jimmy Johnson? Lol! Talk about reaching....Jimmy had job security, he didn't have a salary cap......two different animalsSo Jimmy Johnson is a loser? You have a strange way of seeing things.
How do you consistently come up w/ these responses where you don't appear to be able to make simple connections? Weird, dude.Who the hell is talking about Jimmy Johnson? Lol! Talk about reaching....Jimmy had job security, he didn't have a salary cap......two different animals
Speaking of asinine, pull your head out of it....I don't have any issue with what you said, other than....no one is asking player or coaches.....that's my issue with some fans, they are actually ticked off that we don't win. I've also said that tanking should be left to the FO and not players or coaches.....evaluate talent, sit others, so be it....let the chips fall where they may.No one is asking players or coaches to tank, or to not compete whole-heartedly. Kiss his butt all you want, but you really don't see the difference between Jimmy and a lameduck coach? Smooch, smooch.....I guess Jimmy was tanking when he lost to Jacksonville by close to 70 points. LOL..How do you consistently come up w/ these responses where you don't appear to be able to make simple connections? Weird, dude.
Jimmy was the best tanker in NFL history. How in the world do you not see the relevance? Agenda stuff?
How did winning last year help us this year? I’ll take your answer off the air. Thanks in advance.Competitive disadvantage? Winning culture and not quitting is worth more than a few draft picks in the first round of the next draft.
Not to mention, the Cowboys could easily trade down that pick.
Just as a refresher, here are Jerry's picks between 11-17 since he bought the Cowboys:
Parsons
Lamb
Martin
Ware
Kevin Smith
Harper
Emmitt
