You are not wrong for wanting the season to start yesterday. Every football fan is on the same page as you.

That said, I think it is correct that most fans can temper their impatience. For them, 98 days remaining probably feels like 98 days remaining. Conversely, a caffeine high may make it feel like 998 days remain.
