News: Dallas Cowboys need upgrades at head coach and quarterback

Both have to go period.
Yes Dak doesn't need another year. There is no offensive innovator that's going to fix what's wrong with Dak. You either have arm talent or you don't.
Let's bring in RGIII and fix him, let fix Brandon Weeden, What's wrong with Dak is more then coaching. There a reason that Wentz and Goff went in the first round. It's not about the HC or the OC. Watch them throw the ball. Accuracy, Anticipation, Pocket awareness, Watch the Rams vs Saints game if you don't come away impressed with Goff your crazy. Innovative coaches need something to work with

I have to think that the wheels are in motion. There's no way Big and Little Enos enjoyed that humiliating walk to the locker room with their tails tucked firmly between their legs. These guys have huge egos and don't take being embarrassed lightly. And Garrett has provide them with plenty these past few years.

Even Jerry Jones knows he couldn't actually do that. No, he's going to have to make that one decision. The one he's tried to avoid for over a decade now. He's going to have to finally pull of the bandaid and go through that moment of pain.

He's going to have to quit Jason Garrett.

You can see it in his face and hear it in his voice he has come to the end of his rope . Plus the media is on this like a pack of hounds every analyst I have heard is done with Garrett

The game coming up here in Philly may be the straw . Living here all my life I can attest to the fact that no team in the NFL takes more pride in beating the Cowboys than the Eagles especially at home . Hostile environment is putting it mildly . This could well be a beatdown of epic proportion if Garrett has truly lost the team .

A couple things indicated this to me Jaylon Smith playing 2 hand touch as Mariota goes in for the TD and the most telling event ONLY Byron Jones defended the Star . That was sad .

Maybe it's "the Dakster" who's trying to survive Garrett?

There's a long, long list off quarterbacks who have been unable to do that, isn't there?

Yes, yes there is.
None I’d put in Romo’s league who even Bill needed to uplift his team.

The point is that all looked worse after being coached by Garrett, none looked better.

Bill made it to the playoffs saddled with Quincy Carter. His reputation is forever secured.

Parcells made Quincy Carter look like a quarterback, Jason Garrett makes quarterbacks look like Quincy Carter.

None. But I notice that you're all over it as your latest rail against Jerry, divert away from Garrett talking point.

As I've said, his words mean nothing. And won't mean anything until ink is stupifyingly put to paper. I'll pick up my torch and pitchfork then.

Until that time, these words mean as much as his claims that he wouldn't fire Wade Phillips, made three days before he fired Wade Phillips.
i agree. garrett's butt is on the line far more than dak's, but dak will have eyes on him for the remainder of the season. I truly hope we get to see what he can do with a new hc and oc who are highly offensive minded. but don't extend him until he passes the eye test.

Jerry will more than likely fire Garrett after the season because with the exception of a few players, he has lost the team. Dallas players and fans have long grown tired of his Princeton-political correctness. This team needs a leader of men. Somebody with more offensive imagination. Somebody who is willing to get in the face of a player. I know the Tuna is retired, but I sure wouldn't mind somebody in his likeness now.

I'm getting that Green Bay 2010 vibe too. How many times and how many years can players bang their heads against a wall with the liability of coaching they're forced to deal with in Dallas?
:banghead:
I'd say we're about ready to find out.

Nailed it!

I’d argue Romo looked more polished in 2007 than he did in 2006.

And history might reflect in a few years that Garrett was the only HC who took Dak to the playoffs.

History has always had a way of humbling us all after the emotion of the moment has faded.

Much like Romo’s contributions are looking like more each year.

Dak is safe. He’s our future. Oh boy..

History will reflect the best Oline in football at the time took us to the playoffs and made Dak and Garrett appear far better than they really are . Dak getting ROY and Garrett COTY ,now not only could neither one win a consolation prize but are in danger of being replaced

By all indicators Dak is not only safe but on the verge of being extended.

That’s going to be your consolation after Jason is gone. Who can uplift Dak?

that's what you gleaned from my post??????? it's not at all what I said in regards rayne Dakota. garrett, on the other hand is a june bug. and the chickens have him surrounded.
You talk like Daks future isn’t secure.

Oftentimes, he just invents stuff. It's a pattern.

duck hunting was stellar this morning. 3 mallards and two widgeons for me. 12 more in the aggregate by the rest of the group. labs happy. labs sleeping. the smell of rendering duck fat will be in the air this evening.

And you talk like it is. Once again, there's reality, and then there's your version of it.
That’s my interpretation from our owners words.

I’ve yet to hear your interpretation except your discounting his words because it isn’t factual yet.

If we were only here to report the news why would we need a forum to discuss our opinions?

Do I really have to put IMO before each sentence or can we assume that I’m going to present my opinions that I strongly believe in as the truth.

We see this type of rhetoric in preaching societal issues why isn’t it applicable in discussing sports ?
