When I looked all over and couldn't find who wrote this article red flags started coming out. I'm guessing someone spent a whole 5 minutes "researching" for this POS.

This is ridiculous and the website linked in the OP is ridiculous as well.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this site has zero credibility. They are literally creating a rumor with this article.

Yeah, just as I thought. Basically another TMZ. Move along.

No thank you. We already have our 2400 yard back. His name is Joseph Randle, who believes that he'll get all the meat off the bone.

This would be my least favorite signing in Cowboys history. I would actually root for him to get injured. Sue me

Dallas would catch less grief if they signed the leader of ISIS.

So no.

This is another one of the many threads that point to there being a lot more concern about the Cowboys RB situation than some are letting on. Most here come off like the RB situation is nothing to worry about because many think the OL is the reason Murray was so successful last season. He's been reduced to nothing more than an average back by more than just a few. Everything from his speed to his vision has been criticized. With all the negative talk about his speed, vision and leaving yards on the field you wouldn't think he set a franchise rushing record and received 2 MVP votes in 2014. If most on this board were as confident as they make it appear that the OL can make the backs the Cowboys currently have successful names like Ray Rice and Felix Jones wouldn't have come up as many times as they have.

When you see a disgraced player like Ray Rice being mentioned as often as he has you know there's a lot bigger concern about the RB situation than most are willing to admit. Just the number of RB threads alone since Murray left points to the FAN base being nervous about the backs the Cowboys have. Let's be honest had Murray resigned there wouldn't be any talk about the RB position everyone would be focused on the defense which is what ultimately did in the Cowboys during the playoffs. There's hasn't been a topic since the 2014 season ended that's been debated more outside of Dez's reversed catch than the RB situation. Those who keep saying they're aren't worried about the RB situation are blowing smoke.

The Dallas Cowboys may think they have their entire team together and that everything is in place, but a lot of NFL experts think they are just telling themselves that. Others believe that the most pressing need is at running back and that there are a number of options out there for them to sign. Is free agent Ray Rice the key to all of their problems?

Currently, the Cowboys have Darren McFadden as their so-called key running back. He may appear to be the starter as he has the most name recognition, but his sustainability is really something to call into question.

Andy Benoit at Sports Illustrated believes that the answer to replacing DeMarco Murray is Joseph Randle. He believes that Randle could easily have a 1,500-plus yard season but knows that McFadden stands in his way.

“It could be McFadden who winds up prospering the most in 2015. He’s not creative because he can’t be—that fused body won’t allow it. He’s a pure, explosive north/south runner. Randle, on the other hand, has light feet and hips that swivel. If he starts
tasting some of the meat’ —as Murray put it, in his polite response to his former backup’s comment — Randle too might get hasty and clever.”

The Cowboys do have Lance Dunbar and Ryan Williams on the roster as well, but one of them likely won’t be with the team by September. At this point, one has to wonder if the answer is already in a helmet with a star or could a former Baltimore Raven fix everything?

According to Rant Sports, the Cowboys have limited cap space and the free agent options are limited as well. The latter isn’t necessarily true as there is a lot of talent out there, but not many that could be an every-down back — except Ray Rice.

Everyone knows that Jerry Jones isn’t against signing players with a bad past and some baggage, but the backlash from fans could be bad. Still, Ray Rice is a big talent and he’s young and he can still produce for a few more years.

Essentially, Rice is a low-risk option that could bring forth some huge rewards for the Cowboys if he works out. They are likely going to be able to sign him at a bargain price since he wants to play, but no one is jumping at offering him a deal.

In hopes of getting his career back on track, Ray Rice would likely be a model player and man with any team. The Dallas Cowboys have the money needed to sign him, and they may not yet be able to rely on their current running backs for a whole season. Is a very troubled player the answer to their offensive backfield woes, or would he be a bigger problem?

You don't know the drill by now? There is a large segment of this fan base that will support anything and everything the team does. The Cowboys decided to do nothing substantial at RB this year, so that's what these fans believe was the right decision. These are the same people who supported the Cowboys flawed thinking that they could get by with complete slop along the OL years ago and now support the Cowboys 180 reversal of philosophy as they stockpile talent at those positions. They have no real opinions. The team thinks for them.

Hey, who did we draft? Let me get on YouTube and see the genius behind these decisions. I've always liked these players. That's why I never mentioned them. Spreadsheets coming soon.

So they don't really believe losing Murray is a non issue. It's just that that's what the Cowboys believe and, well.....Go Cowboys!, bro.

Honestly I would much rather have Randle as the starter than Ray Rice right now. Never too big on Rice to begin with.
