Dallas has asked for permission to talk Contract Numbers with Hall

This has been a pretty neat site for me around draft time through the years. Always has interesting stuff. I don't know how reputable his sources are, but heck it's the off-season. A few Cowboys blurbs throughout.

According to our main source in Indianapolis, Atlanta Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall is being shopped league wide. Per the source, there are 7 teams interested in Hall, but the New York Giants have the best offer on the table, right now. Dallas is in it and Jerry Jones has asked for permission to talk numbers. The Cowboys may offer their second
first rounder.

The word at the convention center that comes from DeAngelo Hall directly is that Rod Coleman and Alge Crumpler and himself are being cleared out because of their support of Michael Vick and the fact that the teams' new G.M. is from the Patriots and wants to scrub the lockeroom clean. Teams interested in Hall that our source has confirmed are: Dallas, New York Giants, Tennessee, Miami, Buffalo, New Orleans and Kansas City.

Tennessee is not really that hot for running back Tatum Bell, contrary to media reports. They are, however, talking to Julius Jones' folks....Jones and Bill Parcells were spotted eating together Thursday night, which has fueled some rumor mongering that the Miami Dolphins are after him....Also, the Bears are shopping running back Cedric Benson. Good luck finding takers!

Mamouth Texas A&M defensive tackle Red Bryant has been popular. Many teams have sought him out. The New York Jets, Jacksonville, Dallas, Washington, Tennessee and Cleveland were all quite interested in him. One venerable A.F.C. scout, who knows Texas college football better than anyone in football, says Red is the best run stuffing defensive tackle since Casey Hampton. He actually might be bigger, stronger and faster than Hampton, according to the respected scout. Pretty intense words for this draftee.

Finally, the New York Jets were ecstatic when they heard the Dallas Cowboys tagged safety Ken Hamlin and not Flozell Adams, as they are clearly interested in the veteran free agent lineman.

The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins want to sign Dallas Cowboys free agent tackle Flozell Adams.... Wide receiver Javon Walker is rumored to be heading to Tampa Bay.

Why would the Jets need him when they've recently drafted D'Brickashaw Ferguson?

I hope this Hall move is false, or it fails. I don't want to have to spend a season listening to this blowhard make excuses for his screw ups.

Especially if he is robbing the team of $10 million or more that could be put towards better guys.

Jerry. Don't be stupid. He's just a mouth that doesn't back it up. Don't fall for the false hype he's created for himself. And Jerry...don't be stupid.

I've read their disappointed in D'Brick. I think the word is that he plays soft.

On a side note, I think it would be hilarious to read the board if Hall becomes a Cowboy. I think it would outshine the number "I will quit the Cowboys" posts that were made after T.O. signed.

Yuck. This about ruined my breakfast.

I'm still skeptical as it doesn't make much sense with Newman to pay and Henry being decent (and making good money himself).

On another note, why would the Jets want Flo? Is the Brick that big a bust already?

While I definitely think he is overrated. He is better than Henry. The kid can play.

I would just like to hear the first conversation between him and Colombo :)

Colombo splattered him and TO spit on him. And you guys really think Jerrah is going to bring another loud mouth- who DOES NOT WALK THE WALK- to the Boys?

Man that's gotta hurt, considering his draft position and his outlook as a Rook:(

I suppose they want another big mouth to compete with Crayton's.

I never really was all that impressed with the Brick. I always thought he was strictly a finesse player; and I do not think that anymore a strictly finesse guy can get it done.

the Hall rumors are kinda interseting....

maybe he will come at a disount(contract wise). I mean if he really wants out of ATL that bad, and vise versa.

maybe Campo(and that other DB coach Hall has a mancrush on) can get his technique corrected.

maybe he can be a return man, at least a punt return man....?

maybe he wants in Dallas so he will only get torched in practice by TO:D .

all that, and I am sure the #21 will be available for a Cowboys jersey now....

the bottom line is this: if he can come in under a cheaper contract and get his attitude(ala TO) and technique corrected than its worth a shot. as long as the trade price is not too steep...still dont like giving up either of the 1st rounders we have 4 him.

the guy is still young and very fast....

buckle up...its gonna be a fun ride till draft day

I'm not sure how to feel about this, on one hand i know Hall has great ability and potential to be special but on the other hand why hasn't he shown more of it already? Was the coaching in ATL really that bad? If we could somehow get him for a reasonable price (which I don't think we can do) then I say why not bring him in, but if we sign him we are going to overpay for a current underachiever and we don't need that.

It would definitely be a bad move to sign someone who defends Mike Vick, never mind give up a #1 for him. Bad move if true.......:bang2:
