They actually did try Davis on one play and he either whiffed on the block or missed the handoff. That was it for him.
One play.....come on man, give him at least some time to settle in a playoff.
Could win what exactly? Beat the Niners in a playoff game in SF?

The problem is that the Niners had a better defense. Purdy have EVERY advantage in the game from Oline, to skill players, to defense to coaching to home field advantage. We lost by a TD.

Not such a big deal.
Even with horrendous QB play, we win if Dak just stayed disciplined and drove the bus. Other than the one good TD drive, he did nothing, we score field goals when starting 23 and 57 yards out. You simply can't defend that game, I don't think any QB has been worse than Dak facing the 49ers defense this season. It was just horrible considering the support he got from special teams and his defense.

Yeah, but lamb never seemed dominant - never took games over .
He’s not tyreek hill or chase or Jefferson etc

He had more TDs than Hill and Jefferson. And yardage puts him in the top 6. More dominant than Cooper ever was and some people around here are still crying for him.

How would keeping him be a disaster ?
He had his warts, but was a good player.
We had Lamb and a bunch of jags at WR.
It's not like we used Coopers salary to sign any big name free agents....

He wasn't worth the money.. in a salary cap world you have to move on when you can. Cowboys made the smart decision and moved on at the time when everyone knew they would when he originally signed the deal.

Yes, losing Cooper for a 5th round pick was a front office and on field disaster.
It had everything to do with his production on the field not being = to his contract. Not many teams wanted to trade for that money.

Literally, they knew Dallas couldn't keep him and he was going to be cut. He had an escalator that was going to kick in if he stayed on the roster.

He has 0 all pros.

Hill and Adams have many and are elite wrs. Literally KC traded Hill at the perfect time, they had a little over a million in dead money.

That is why they got value and Dallas didn't.

Anyone that blames ONLY Dak doenst understand football and has an agenda. So there was nobody on the cowboys team that could have made plays to win this game?

This was a team loss.

Yep Quinn was the glue holding this team together. When he got here was when we had back to back 12 win seasons. Losing him would be disastrous unless we somehow find Demeco Ryans 2.0

Small nit, he didn't have an escalator. His base became just guaranteed on March 20, 2022. It had little effect on trading him because 1) any team acquiring him wasn't going to cut him in less than a year anyway and 2) it just meant that Dallas wouldn't cut him.

Dallas misplayed their hand on Cooper. No, he wasn't worth some windfall like some thing but a 5th round pick was sad return.

Plenty of guys could have made plays to win the game. Shultz for one, Diggs is another obvious one that had a chance to turn the game. But there's only one player that IMO had a performance over replacement that was so bad in the negative that it cost us the game. And he's earning 40m a season and should have the best performance over replacement. The delta on what he should have done and what we saw was huge.

Well, he didn’t actually say that it when it comes down to after Pollard and cd lamb, we have nothing.

Brian baldinger on Dallas ,
CD Lamb was moved around like a 1 - he has stats like a 1 .
He’s not a 1
He’s no chase brown etc
They asked a LOT of him.
He’s a 1B tops - not enough.

After that DALLAS has no weapons after pollard got hurt.

They are in major need of Speed and weapons .

Dak not enough around him .

Horrific early int - he threw that same pick earlier in the year . He didn’t even look just threw it .
Micah Parsons was unbelievable- he blew up their all pro tackle - played the middle v Deebo v kittle - kittle couldn’t block him.
Then played the outside .

But the Dallas D is more Quinn than talent.
If Quinn leaves it’s a disaster .

SF have no weakness anywhere - and Dallas had a legit chance.

SF D zone is unbelievable and completely befuddled Dak.

Tyron Smith handled Bosa - he’s not done .

Hosts wondered about keeping Smith and letting Steele leave - save $10 million .

Philly best secondary in football

SF best LB’s

Philly best in trenches

To restate he really really emphasized that losing Dan Quinn is a disaster
You lost me saying CeeDee is not a 1. 100 catches with Dak and Rush throwing him the football. With other receivers that would be on the bench anywhere else. Please…..

Who is Chase Brown?
Dak not enough around him.:laugh::facepalm:

It's always about "Dak doesn't have enough around him."

We could have beaten the 49ers if he didn't throw interceptions and understood how to consistently read coverage.
Several commentators said he had receivers wide open but didn't get them the ball for whatever reasons.

And the 49ers have weaknesses - their secondary. But we didn't have the quarterback who could exploit them.
Watch Jalen Hurts pick the 49ers secondary apart.
Watch a real coach, a real offensive coordinator and a real quarterback show how it should be done.
That post pass to Lamb late in the game. He was covered inside where Dak threw it. T.Y. Hilton was uncovered on the same route because the safety had to pick one. Not to mention the horrible pass to Gallup behind and short. Game winner there.

And it sure would have freed up Lamb. Nobody respects any of our other receivers. Of course yesterday it probably wouldn't have mattered because Dak was that bad.
