He wasn't worth the money.. in a salary cap world you have to move on when you can. Cowboys made the smart decision and moved on at the time when everyone knew they would when he originally signed the deal.
Well Dak and Zeke aren't worth the money either. I can name a whole lot of players that aren't worth the money. Besides Lamb and Pollard, nobody on offense Sunday was worth the money. Jerry just wasted a #1 draft pick on a 3 year rental and got nothing for it. And I didn't like the trade to begin with. But If you're getting rid of Cooper than get something for him.

They did and only one team was willing to pay it because of the money. Dak and Zeke certainly aren't worth it, but that doesn't mean you just keep compounding the problem.

LOL...more BS Dak defenders and apologists. Dak had plenty of weapons last season....same result as this season. The common denominator is Dak....period.
Hard to argue with that. Enough talent to put up points. But Dak has to be surrounded with Pro Bowl players to make up for his untimely gaffs. For years the Cowboys had a QB who would take you down the field and score only to have the defense let them. Now they have a defense that gives you the opportunity and a QB who's the liability.

Dallas needs to figure something out at WR

Is Lamb good? Heck yes.
Is Lamb a legit #1? ...maybe?

The WR FA market is thin in 2023. There are no legit #1s available...mostly #2s.

The Dallas offense may need to find an OC that can work with what's there and create a game plan to take advantage of a bunch of #2s plus a above-average TE.

It's not Kellen Moore. Moore is too much in the old/traditional mindset that Dallas just doesn't have the players to succeed with

And yet every other front office makes deals. Philly gets top dollar for Bradford and Wentz two overrated flops. I can go on. Our FO telecasts what it's going to do so of course nobody's going to give them anything. They need to keep their fat mouths shut when they want to trade players. Wasted a #1 pick and got nothing in return.

This is what hapoens when you way overvalue your players. They thought schultz, cd, pollard, zeke, cd, was enough. But it wasnt so they brought in ty.

BEcause of how they use the TE position its just a dumpoff option and not always a real weapon. Zeke is not a weapon. 3 receivers on the team, tokbert, simi, turbin are not weapons and they didnt use hilton much. They thought gallup would be back to his old self and that was a gross miscalculation.
Bam!!!

So Purdy can have the best weapons in the NFL but Dak gets Lamb and Zeke and is expected to win? Cmon, do you even believe your own BS?
SF has the best weapons in the NFL? Last season Dak had Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, Wilson, Schultz, Zeke, and Pollard.....and he still failed.

Stop complaining and stop defending your POS QB.

They wasted a #1 pick, you could've just stopped right there. No one said this front office is smart, but getting rid of Cooper when they did was actually smart.

I don’t agree lamb isn’t a number 1. I did but he’s proven he’s a 1. Saying he isn’t chase isn’t a knock on him. Chase has tee higgins next to him. Brown has devonta smith next to him. Jefferson has theilen and hockenson.

Baldinger is right we don’t have weapons but it’s the weapons around lamb that are the issue not lamb

Quinn took cast off players and made them probowlers its going to be a long road when he is gone.
I'm really worried about this. It would be such a shame to see this defense crater. And I'm worried a new DC, perhaps one that's more conservative, would also not 'get' how to play Parsons and delay his progression to becoming one of the league's best.

Only Dak failed? LOL

Pollard got 6 touches last year. And according to you, Dak had a good game against the Niners.

Did Dak give up 160 yards rushing and 2 TD's? Dak did Dak get no pressure on the QB last year?

If the defense showed up last year like they did this year the Cowboys win.

It had everything to do with his production on the field not being = to his contract. Not many teams wanted to trade for that money.

Literally, they knew Dallas couldn't keep him and he was going to be cut. He had an escalator that was going to kick in if he stayed on the roster.

He has 0 all pros.

Hill and Adams have many and are elite wrs. Literally KC traded Hill at the perfect time, they had a little over a million in dead money.

That is why they got value and Dallas didn't.
....sort of like someone else whose on the field production does not = his contract....but alas we are stuck with the POS QB.

No he’s not

Lamb isn’t explosive he isn’t a YAC guy - he isn’t Chase or Hill or Jefferson or TO or Dez or Irvin like.

He has a great year but he’s not top 10
Saying he’s not chase or Jefferson isn’t a knock on lamb….lol.

Well we'll see what he does with Cleveland next year when he actually has a starting QB all year but they didn't replace him with anybody. And Jerry knows he goofed too otherwise he wouldn't have been courting OBJ in the first place. Glad he didn't bring that idiot on our team at least for now.
