Any clue why they are saying this? Heard it on The Break and Talkin Cowboys. Haven't listened to Jason's PC yet but this is disturbing to me. He was ready to go this week (in his words "so to say"). I don't see any reason why he won't be playing Sunday. I hope Jason is not this foolish. Did he see this D play the run and the dink and dunks yesterday?

Possible setback?

Or it's because a minor day to day injury = 4 weeks minimum in Valley Ranch

There is speculation that his groin is worse than people thought and that it was similar to Durant's 3-4 weeks. Spagnola also said that he saw McClain on Sunday and he was not moving around well for all of what McClain tweeted on Saturday.

I think you have to be cautious. I'd rather have him miss 2 games than 13.

With this team, you won't know if an injured player is going to play. It will come down to whether or not he practices on Friday, IMO.

Luckily, his replacement at MLB (Hitchens) played reasonably well.

Naturally. Our defense loses the war of attrition every season.

Sean Lee, Anthony Spencer, Henry Melton, Justin Durant, Rolando McClain.

It's not enough that guys are getting hurt... it also has to be our best and most valuable defensive players.

Cue the "no excuses, every team gets hammered with injuries on one side of the ball every season! Next man up!" replies.

Jerry said he sees Spencer and mcclain playing so hope it's true

Yeah I heard this too. Jerry sounded very confident that they would both be on the field for the Saints game, so I'll take his word for it

Yeah but Jerry has seen dead people too so, take it with a grain of salt. lol

I hope Ro is back this next game but this injury is one you need to be careful with or else it turns into a recurring problem all season long.

LOL not bad.

It's Jerry's world and we just live in it. And when it comes to McLovin playing Sunday night ... I will gladly oblige (this one time).

The longer this goes on the more people will question the validity of the injury. Which is understandable considering this player's track record.

I agree. Very few teams can lose a Justin Durant and not have it effect every fabric of the organization.

He looked pretty healthy to me jumping up and down like a cheer leader when Mo made that interception...... maybe he reinjured it then!

I feel like that would be unfair to the player. He has a history yes but maybe the team just doesn't feel like giving an injury report any earlier than they have to.

How many other teams are currently without their 5 best front-7 players?

Top DE - Spencer
Top DT- Melton
Best trio of LBs - Lee, McClain, Durant

It's happened to us each of the last few years and you're blind as a bat if you haven't noticed.

Our D gets slammed with injuries until they're no longer competitive. Then fans get to spend the whole offseason pretending we sucked because of some huge coaching failure ("the scheme is outdated!" is my favorite).

Well, bear in mind that Risen's not actually suggesting that. Heaven forfend! He's just saying *somebody's* going to suggest it. You know, eventually.

The problem is Durant sucks, McClain is a reclamation project, Spencer has had one year in his entire career where he's been an impact player, Melton is coming off a nasty knee injury and is a downgrade from the starter from last year and Sean Lee is out on a yearly basis.

This isn't a tremendous core of talent you're talking about here when you look at it.
