Dallas might have dilemma at DT

In all seriousness, if they do part ways I hope the Cowboys work out an agreement with him that the nicknames stay here.

We keep the t-shirts too. Or at least the XXLs for Stephen.

If they use Rod as a scapegoat I might be just about done with these fools.

So yet again, we are moving a 273 pound DE inside to rotate at DT ?. If they think Irving can beef up over the off-season to play the 3-tech in a rotation with Crawford - fine, but do it in the off-season. But it seams to me, we still don't have the strong 1-tech to demand double teams, thereby keeping Crawford clean enough to go one on one. Never, ever gonna have a stout interior when we keep using undersized ends inside. Don't care about the money side of it, Crawford would be fine if he was the only undersized guy. But when everyone is - Houston, we have a problem.
How can they not understand this ? Just dumb...

Sweeet baby Jesus on fire, gonna need dayum Lawyer and a miracle to pull my butt outta this. Devil kept pokin' the bull so I shipped her butt to Mozambique. Cuz I was over it.

Why can't we have an Ngata playing 1tech? Pretty please?

1tech is ngata priority for us.

6-7, 273 lbs....

I'm not saying it's impossible, however, this is not the body type that plays 4-3 DT.

Normally yes, but this staff found success with putting the 6-6 Jason Hatcher as a last-second back-up plan when Ratliff pulled his shenanigans. Since then, they have tried to keep putting square pegs in the round hole of 3Tech.

True, but Hatcher was roughly 300 lbs (currently listed at 299) when he played 4-3 DT in Dallas.

Not saying Irving can't get there, but at 273 he'll have a difficult time against the run.

Too late, Irving has been playing 3-tech since he got here...

the 3Tech IMO is about quickness and penetration. Irving appears to be quick but he's a long target.

Aaron Donald (6-1/285) and Geno Atkins (6-1/300) are more the prototype for 3Techs.

Ole Miss DT Robert Nkemdiche (6-3/296) is going to be great one in the draft. Notre Dame's Sheldon Day (6-1/285) and Penn State's Anthony Zettel (6-4/278) are later round options.

Don't we have some 315lb DT on our PS that we just picked up 2-3 weeks ago? Call that SOB up!

*EDIT* His name is Casey Walker and sits at a very spry 340lbs. Plug that fatty in and let's test that theory of needing "beef" to clog running lanes and keeping pressure off of our other 3 DLs.

I keep reading here how Crawford, Kraken, Tank, Gregory, basically everyone except Hayden is getting double teamed.
Impossible.

depends on if they like the player or not. If they like the player...he is constantly double teamed and thus effecting his production. If they don't like the player....he simply can't beat one-on-one battles.

Surprisingly enough, Irving is actually pretty good against the run. He shoots the gap so fast he's either in the backfield or he's being grabbed.

Scour practice squads for a new/real/half-decent 1-Tech...

Keep rotating Crawford and Irving....

Phil Taylor has been making the rounds.....Would be interesting to see how his knee is....He may not be the pass rush threat we need...but you ain't moving him off the ball....and he is gonna demand a double team...or he is gonna plant the center right in the QBs lap.
