the problem is not Crawford. Its Marinelli and his idea of a 1 tech.he wants a lighter guy who can get to the passer but his whole time here our 1tech has been a terrible liability for our whole defense and it makes everyone on the line look bad.its time for Rod to retire.

crawford is the chosen one. he is paid to make an impact. this scheme apparently is set up for him. he is failing thus far.

If Lawrence doesn't improve his performances at DE, I'm thinking it's possible David Irving could eventually be assigned to replace him at that position. I'd also like to see some run-stuffing DTs in the lineup, rather than the light-in-the-britches DTs that we now employ at those spots. Perhaps Marinelli will eventually "see the light" at some desperate point in time. Otherwise, this team may never amount to much at plugging the run. Not good.

Interesting words from Broaddus yesterday on Dallas wanting to see more of Irving at 3-technique and move Crawford over to 1-technique (Hayden has both ankles injured). What if both players excel at those positions. In Marinelli defense the 3-technique is the money position. Can Dallas afford to pay Crawford $9 mill year to be run-stopper? The fact that practice squad guy might be better than our $9 million dollar player tells me there might have been over-valuation by Stephen Jones/Will McClay/Jason Garrett.

Doesn't matter.. BPA is their alleged philosophy and should be at the position...

The quickness of Hardy and Irving off the edges is something to watch.

I'm loving it as well. They may not always be perfect gentlemen but they do their jobs quite well. Good for us and not so good for the teams that are assigned to oppose them. Hopefully, they'll both keep their nose clean in the future as this team struggles to redeem itself for its inability to be defensively adept on a regular basis.

Brings back thoughts of Miles Austin.

I keep reading here how Crawford, Kraken, Tank, Gregory, basically everyone except Hayden is getting double teamed.
Impossible.

this is easy to answer. the opponents tell them they suck and us fans tell them they suck every week. getting double teamed being told you suck each week, can make you run to your mommy. LOL

so explain to me how much he will have made over 5 years of the contract if he finishes it out and Dallas doesn't redo the contract due to average results (ala Carr).

I was asking him the same thing. If he gets cut early then it is more than 9m AAV. If he plays the whole 5 years it gets back down to 9m AAV.

If they cut him after 2016 like he mentioned that would be 17m for one year. He was already under contract this year for less than 1m.

Get rid of Marinelli, Problem fixed

We need a big ole nose tackle by the name of Bubba! Nothing replaces size in stopping the run. That's the reason I hated losing Josh Brent. He may not have been much against the pass, but he sure could hold the line. Crawford, I like him, but he's no where near worth 9 million a year!!!!!! he's like 3 mil.

We have bigger issues than a dilemma at DT.

We haven't won a game in 7 tries.

Crawford plays 3 Tech, Brent was a 1 Tech or a nose guard/tackle in the traditional sense. But yes we need a run stuffing 1- tech...
