Dallas might not go all the way with either QB?

Funny thing is if cowboys lose or dont win SB, people will say they made the wrong choice.
But there is a possibility that both Romo and Dak will not win SB or get there, no matter which one is chosen, they will lose at some point.

I dont think either Dak fans or Romo fans have thought of that.

The sad thing is the one chosen, will get all the blame if they dont go all the way.
The other one will be the hero who could have done it.

Now if Tony had taken the team to 11-2, right where we are now, everyone would be estactic,
and just wanting to get past div round to championship game.

Instead we have 50% of fans mad or unhappy cause it was Dak who got us to 11-2.
Looking for anything to criticize him for.

If situation were reversed, and tony got hurt and Dak took them rest of way, then tony would get
most of the credit for getting to SB.

So if tony winds up taking over, will Dak get credit for the SB season or just Tony who only had to
play a few games?

Well who knows, like I said maybe it doesnt matter, maybe neither one can get us to SB and win.
But fans will always think the one that doesnt play is the one who could have done it, but really
that is just speculation.

I think some teams could beat Dallas no matter which QB plays.

Tony barely beat detroit, and had some funky ref calls help out, then lost to GB (2014) also with some bad ref calls.
So just playing tony doesnt guarantee anything. and same is true with Dak.

On top of that either qb needs his team mates to also step up and make plays, not mistakes, and the
coaches have to game plan etc, to give the team the best chance to win.
And the defense & ST has to do their part.

I know if Dak goes all the way, only half the Dallas fans will be happy about it lol.

Im sorry you believe this way. Romo backers will hate to see him on the sidelines if Dak continues the way he has for the last 2 and 1/2 games, however I dont know any Cowboys fan that wouldnt be happy with a Super Bowl win. What a dumb statement...

What have the Cowboys done recently that anybody thinks we're remotely a lock for a Superbowl? We've qualified for the playoffs and put ourselves in pole position for HFA. That's it. There's a huge gulf between there and the Superbowl no matter who's playing QB. Any Cowboys fan that somehow forgets that after the last 20 years needs a reality check. I think it's pretty safe to say, though, that that's the least of our worries.

Thank you! It's unreal the things people try to push here.

If somebody is unhappy to win the SB, no matter the reason, then they just truly aren't fans of this team.

Unbelievable

You would think we had all stated we were boycotting all games until a change was made or we're no longer Cowboys fans for the things that continue to be said. Make no mistake, I have enjoyed this season regardless of who I think may give us a better shot in the end THIS season. I am excited about our young QB and our bright future. :starspin:

I did some searching today, and I found that only 9 teams have won a Super Bowl without a TOP 10 defense. The odds are definitely NOT in our favor.

The OP's post has a lot of truth in it. Many fans have been miserable throughout this amazing season. You can see it in their posts whether we win or lose. No reason to believe they'll be happy over a Super Bowl either because nothing makes them happy.

I have thought about it. Its distinctly possible Dak has been figured out. Every week Dak was adding new wrinkle defenses didn't see on film and it kept them off balance. Now Dak doesn't have anything new to show and defense can attack areas undeveloped or weakness. Its up to coaches and Dak to counter those defensive adjustments. If he can do that then he has long career as starter. If he can't it will still go down in Cowboys folklore how this rookie 4th rounder from South took NFL by storm for one year only to become backup after that.

Absolutely. The Cowboys biggest problem isn't who's playing QB its how will the defense hold up in the big games. I really believe the Cowboys are a year away from a serious SB run.

Even if everything was going in our favor playwise and injurywise, winning the SB is not a given. There is too much talk of winning the SB when we are not there yet as if its ours for the taking or belongs to us due to our record. There are a lot of other good teams that will have a say in whether we win the SB or not.

No doubt we're not quite ready for prime time yet a good quarterback shreds our defense and if that same team with a good quarterback has a decent defense you're not going to beat them

Add a few defensive pieces in the offseason and then we're ready to rock and roll

And some good speed at receiver might help too

11-2 deserves a backup roll? What planet are you from? If he keeps posting seasons like this, he's starter for 13 years.

Odds haven't been in Dallas favor since season started. Were past the point of normal. This is potentially unprecedented and historical.

Love it. Let's just throw our support around it and see what happens. Great perspective.
