Dallas might not go all the way with either QB?

11-2 deserves a backup roll? What planet are you from? If he keeps posting seasons like this, he's starter for 13 years.
Once people let go of the whole "he's a rookie" thing, they will realize just how fortunate we are to have someone with such talent at the QB position for years to come. I see them starting to work more wrinkles into the offense around his running skills. Much of that I see happening in the offseason but I bet they worked a wrinkle or two in this week.

Even if everything was going in our favor playwise and injurywise, winning the SB is not a given. There is too much talk of winning the SB when we are not there yet as if its ours for the taking or belongs to us due to our record. There are a lot of other good teams that will have a say in whether we win the SB or not.
Yep. Winning a SB is a bit of a crapshoot. A lot of things have to go right...officiating, injures, coaching, just plain old fashioned luck plays a big role. Its a one game playoff format and that has proved to be unpredictable, anything can happen in a one game showdown.

Let us pray.

"God, please help the Cowboys blow out the Bucs tonight so we can move on from this absurd Romo vs. Dak garbage for at least a week and have a nice, feel good Christmas."

"Oh. And Zeke's hungry. He needs to EAT!!!"

That spoon thingy is getting slightly old, I cant see doing that for 10 years.

No doubt we're not quite ready for prime time yet a good quarterback shreds our defense and if that same team with a good quarterback has a decent defense you're not going to beat them

Add a few defensive pieces in the offseason and then we're ready to rock and roll

And some good speed at receiver might help too

Good points on the defense. We're close, but not quite ready probably

I doubt you'll get much more speed than Bryce and Lucky though. Not saying we don't better receivers, but speed isn't really the problem.

Would I like to see Romo win a ring? Of course BUT I want the TEAM to Win MORE, regardless of WHO is the QB of it. We should ALL be HAPPY if that were to happen.

The odds aren't in all favor to win it all. That's why we shouldn't panic at the first sign of trouble. We are 11-2. We have to see what kind of character our team has.

In light of the other thread about tony leaving with no compensation for dallas, I think it could be a mistake to let
tony go before we are sure about dak.

I'm really settled on Dak continuing to grow and lead us. I understand the Romo perspective in all fairness but the Romo proponents have not considered his potentially failing as well? What if Romo doesn't step in and light the world on fire? Are there whispers for Dak again? Do we realize the grass isn't always greener and appreciate Dak keeping us in every game starting 11-2? Do you just ride Romo out after making this decision? Here's where I am. Yes we can nit pick Dak but we're 11-2 with the best record in the league. Why I feel good about Dak is that he's kept us in every game. There hasn't been that "flame out" 3-4 int game where we get pummeled going away. Although Dez fumbled and we lost on downs last week, there hasn't been that "walk off interception" that ends the game. In summary, Dak simply keeps us in every game. To this point we always have a chance to win and there's tremendous risk in pulling him despite what Tony "might" bring. It's hard to pull 11-2 with two losses by 4 points to a tough divisional opponent. Also consider EVERY QB struggles and has an occasional bad game including Tony. For all the talk of Dak's recent struggles, consider the opponents, their respective desperation and the fact that we were on the road. I'll call like I see it as the season progresses but I still like where we are right now.

Not as much as it will be important for the offense to string together some long drives.

If they keep going 3 and out, it wont matter what this defense does vs good teams.
We've also played 2 of the better defenses in the league. It'll get better. Too many good players on offense to keep struggling like this.

Chances are that we don't even make the SB, much less win. You aren't the first to think either QB would get the blame, heh.

I sure hope Dak or Romo isn't the sole reason for a playoff loss.....:muttley:

That's exactly right... The odds are greatly against any one team winning a SB.

The folks here that think it's a gimme with either QB is out of their minds.

That's why I'm totally against the "let's go all in" mindset. It rarely ever works.

You're better off doing what the Cowboys did from the late 60's on and that is building a team that is competitive year after year. Eventually the spin of the wheel will get you want you want.

last weeks giants game was pretty much a playoff game in these games the qb is going to have to be able to pass the ball and win games you have to convert on third down and secure interceptions when they come your way winning eleven games in a row in the reg season wont mean much if you don't win in the playoffs
