just a heads up for game 3, if you missed it.

game time has been changed to 8pm EST, and the game is now on ABC.

The NBA now realizes it screwed up with the seeding... big-time... so they are trying to get maximum exposure...

Dallas should be kicking Phoenix' arse right now and San Antonio, the Clippers...

No matter wins this series, the conference finals will be a letdown and lackluster...

The seeding system is crazy and needs to be changed or else they will keep having teams lose on purpose to get a better matchup like the Clippers did.

David Stern was on Galloway & Co about the last week of the regular season and said it was a mistake. He said it would change and one of the ideas he threw out was having the Top 4 teams in the Conference based on Record and the Bottom 4 based on Division.

yea no doubt.

it will definitely change after this year, somehow.

i think re-seeding each round would be a good start. but i really really really hate that teams get higher seeds based on being a division winner. dallas should have been a 2-seed, IMO.

i hate it in the nfl too.

This is obviously the best series this round. I think these are the 2 best teams in the NBA, not just the West. I thought it was crazy that the Pistons/Cavs got the better time slot for game one because of LeBron. I knew even before it started that Detroit would blow them out. Glad to see ABC realized their mistake.

If the Mav's win game 3, I like them in 6. If they lose game 3 I still believe they will pull it out, but likely in 7. They really need to win both, but after all the Spurs and the leagues best on the road so it will be a daunting task.

The Mav's are a different team under Avery Johnson, and they nearly won game one despite being 'rusty'. I just don't think San Antonio will be able to overcome the Mav's depth and versatility.

Mav's all the way to the NBA Finals....the question is will they be able to topple a juggernaut Detroit Piston team? I say yes...to be continued.

I should've made the poll choices different lol...

From what I see now, most of the ppl choosing SA are SA fans

Same with Dallas

dallas is in control now.

but even if they win this series....they will get to the finals and then lose 4-1 to detroit, imo.

but this series is far from over, yet. even if SA goes down 3-1.....we've already seen one team come back from it in 2006.

That statement sounds like a complete give up and a consolation prize to me. This series isn't even over yet...

We split the series with Detroit and they just lost to the Cavs so im thinking the Mavericks can at least win one game in the series  .

oh, it's no give up.

the spurs are still the champs until dethroned. it takes 4 to win.

i'm just saying...i don't think dallas matches up w/ detroit. and i did say dallas would take one game with them. :D

anyways, i assure you detroit will finish off cleveland with realative ease. and i assure you SA will empty the tank in D town tonight.

I don't see why people think the Pistons are better than any team from the West. The Mavs split the season series against them, winning the first game by 37 points at home. They lost the second game on the road by 7 when Howard, Harris, and Griffin were all injured. I just don't see why the don't match up well.

BTW, I know full well it's way way to early to start thinking about Detroit, but I just wanted to get that off my chest.

well, only time will tell. but first things first...they gotta finish san antonio first. i do not expect them to just roll over.

fyi...i'd be rooting for dallas if it was det/dal, but i still think they would have trouble beating them. but i'd be all about A.J. at that point.

Dont worry about it man. It is a consolation prize. Anytime something or someone is defeated or things are not going well, he or she has to say or think something positive to help themselves feel a little better about their situation.

We Mavericks fans will take the Playoffs one game at a time and not worry about if we match up with this team or that team.

We are one of the best Road teams, we had one of the best regular season records and we have one of the deepest benches.

no offense dude, but as a spurs fan, we've won three titles.

trust me, there is no need for any "consolation prize" as you say. we've had enough great times in the last 7 seasons to last a lifetime. of course, it's always nice to add to that collection, but if we don't, i don't have much to complain about.

but i wouldn't expect a mavs fan to understand that.

Yep, the Mavericks have not won a title and have not even been to an NBA Final, so your right Dude, I dont understand it.

The key words in your statment is "we've had" or is it "dude" ;) .
