I would have liked if they addressed it better, but also there's only so many things you can fix in one offseason.

They tried to go after Dean, missed out on Lloyd in the process. Didn't have enough trade capital otherwise, and all of this is what it is.

The problem is, when you spend your money on extending average players, you put yourself in that position.

In addition, spending high draft capital on INTERIOR offensive linemen is a failing proposition. No other successful team does this.

Interesting take of the interior OL. I've never much looked into it, but I suspect you're right.

Personally, I've been okay with the investment all along the OL. It seems like the one consistent is that Dallas has wanted to build around the OL since the disaster that was the 2010 season an its an important unit.

And they've been good at converting those premium draft picks into premium starters, which is not a given. Not to mention, if you go back and look at the Tyler Smith pick, the question becomes who else would you rather have at that pick?

The problem that I see is more around the idea that they rely too heavily on draft picks to build the team and therefore have not adequately addressed other areas.
