Not only that BZ, but I hope the board won't overreact based on what we see tomorrow night... It's just the first preseason game after only two weeks of practice, but it seemed to me that ESPN was treating that game last night almost as a "real" game, and I fear some fans will, too. Hopefully the board doesn't get overly worked up if we allow a couple of sacks, or Ware doesn't look like LT, or Fitzgerald and Boldin actually catch a couple of passes.

But on the QBs... Jen Engel was on 103.3 last night saying that Troy Aikman was there at camp this week, and he was claiming that you couldn't tell anything about Henson or any young QB until they've played at least two or three games. Not preseason games, not a quarter here or there, not a third of the snaps with the second or third team, but two or three real games.

Ok CL now you are asking too much as well...No OVERREACTION!! It's unthinkable.

BTW I don't know that 2 or 3 real games is enough if you consider how bad Aikman himself looked for most of his rookie year. But it would take AT LEAST that to see anything concrete about these guys.

Couple things you obviously missed the humor of the thread.

He has looked better thats fine he still hasn't looked good.

Like I said if we do bring in another QB this season Romo WILL be the one cut. Henson is here for the immediate future. His money is guaranteed he is not going anywhere.
 
Where is Kitna? Maybe we can trade Henson for a 3rd round pick. Where would we find a sucker team? Forget the 3rd rd wasted pick,pick forget the money, and forget Henson. Keep the cheaper better QB in Romo, get Kitna, and package henson, and cundiff together maybe we can get a decent pick for the both of them...

Oh...I didn't think this was the humor thread...my bad. :)

Henson was only guarnteed $3.5 mil of which he has already been paid 25%. So his cap hit would only be about 1.75 mil over what we currently are scheduled to pay him and that is managable. However, you are probably right because for us to bring in another QB BOTH Henson and Romo would have to totally suck in at least the first two preseason games. If either of them show promise then I think that both will be on the team this year. So in a sense, they are relying on each other.

What you don't want to trade Ellis too? Coakley is gone so as of now all trade packages have to include Ellis...didn't you get the memo?
