Dallas to host Alfred Morris on Monday

Robinson is on par with the Thornton signing imo...

I would not go that far. Thornton is an upgrade over Hayden, ten times over. I do not believe Robinson is more than an emergency starter and more of a quality reserve.

And the Cowboys have the right system.

We already let teams know way too much before we ever snap the ball.

Morris is so 1 dimensional that it will just be another tell for the defense to take advantage of.

I'm starting to buy into such a signing as this being the end of Carr.

I thought when we were going after Carroll that he was simply seen as a replacement for Claiborne. Then after we re-signed Claiborne, we continued to chase after secondary players like Weddle and Hall and now Robinson.

If we had gotten Weddle, I think we would have moved Jones to corner full time and cut Carr. With either Hall or Robinson, I think we'll let them compete with Claiborne for the starting role and cut Carr.

I'm not a big fan of that simply because of the injury histories of the players we seem to be considering as Carr's replacement. To me, if Dallas does sign someone like Robinson and cut Carr, it increases the need to draft a corner because the only experienced players we'll have all have injury issues.

My only issue with signing Morris is that we had to adjust our blocking scheme last year with McFadden. Are we going to run more power-blocking plays with McFadden then switch to zone blocking when Morris is in the game?

I don't think Jason Garrett cares about that kind of stuff. He has no problem with letting the defense know whats coming and just play 50/50 ball every Sunday and end up having a 50/50 win loss record.

He thinks its 1995 and we can just roll teams up with our endless supply of athletes in a non salary cap era.

You would hope. I am not willing to bet on Carr being gone until he finally is.

I prefer that he not be in any scenario where we bring in one of a player like Hall or Robinson. I value corner depth, especially with those injury histories.

I don't cut Carr unless in addition to picking up a player like Robinson we spend at least a third-round pick on a corner (and a second might be preferable).

Last thing we need is to go into the season and Scandrick isn't ready yet and Claiborne and Robinson suffer preseason injuries. I don't value much about Carr at his cost, but I do value his ability to stay healthy.

I agree to an extent. I think we showed more creativity under Linehan that first year when everyone was healthy, but we still leaned too much on trying to outmuscle the other team instead of outfoxing them.

I respectively disagree as he graded out last year better than what our team was rollling out on a weekly basis. Just my opinion here IF he signs I think he replaces Carr which will allow Scandrick to maintain the slot where he was more effective.

Norm saying that a Morris signing indicates that Dallas won't go Rb in 1st 4 rounds and that Dallas must believe that Henry won't last until their pick in the 2nd Rd.

They are covering their bases. Can't believe anyone still listens to Norm.
