Saints put up 26 against the worst secondary in the league and you think they put up almost twice that against us huh? :laugh2:

The Saints have been extremely dominant at home. Their two lowest point totals in the dome have been 24 and 30 points. They put up 48 on the Giants and 38 on NE in the dome. They've put up over 40 points 4 times this season 45, 48, 48 and 46. The last time the Cowboys played them in 06 Brees and company put up 42 at Texas Stadium. I'm not saying they'll put up 48 on the Cowboys but if Philly could put up 44 last Dec on us NO is more than capable of putting up over 40. The Cowboys are in the middle of another December collapse and as heartless as this team is it wouldn't surprise me to see the Saints win by 25-30 points.

Panthers suck. I know it's a division rival road game, but those guys will already be packed. No way the Saints rest enough players or allow the Panthers to deny them a perfect season in week 17.

IF the Saints lose this season it will be Saturday night.

I also don't expect a let down or lack of focus. I just think these teams are closer than most would suspect. Also counting on a little law of large numbers kicking in against the Saints.

Perhaps a few breaks go our way for a change:
Maybe a couple of non PI calls go our way.
Perhaps a fumble or two.
Maybe we deflect a few Brees passes at the line and one goes for an INT.

That's a lot of perhaps' and maybe's.

Some of you guys are throwing the term heartless around a bit too easily. I'd almost pay to see JJT and some of you all tell these players they are heartless to their faces...in a dark ally.
Talk about getting getting a well deserved pummeling.:laugh1:

So far, I do not see a team with no heart. They are playing their tails off but are coming up short due to various reasons (insert your favorite reason but heartless in NOT one of them). It does not look like the crew that threw in the towel in Philly last season.

It was 23 to 26 vs a backup QB who frankly has looked poor. Look I have no qualm about the Saints being favored in this game they are and should be and yes Dallas has some things I'm sure the Saints will go after and I know there are some weakness on the Saints we will attack. I'm glad you feel good about your team come back and see me next week when Dallas hands you your 1st loss on the season.

This guy Asylum guido, spent the week before the Skins game bouncing on the Warpath. Decent enough guy, but geez, does he go to every teams site the week they play each other...

I can't blame him looking at the history of the Saints there is not much to get excited about. This year they have a great team and their fans are enjoying it, I don't blame them.

Yup. As I mentioned on the Warpath and on here, I enjoy discussing football with fans of the other team. I'm not one of those crazed "Who Dat" spotting crazies posting from their momma's attic (we don't have basements in Louisiana). I am an educated lifelong NFL fan the loves to talk football.

Next to the Patriots' forum, the Warpath and this forum have been the most knowledgeable to date.

Very true. Back in the late 80's and early 90's we didn't have internet forums to visit. Once the web was developed we were cursed with horrible defenses and choking QB's like Aaron Brooks.

Saints - 42 (maybe 49)
Cowboys - 21

Anybody who calculated a FG for Dallas into their prediction is wrong. We won't be able to hold NO to FG's either. Based on the heart of this team we are on our way to 8-8.

They are different breed for sure. lol I lived there for 7 years and there is not even a remote comparison between how wild they are vs most fans. The love their Saints and will (and have) followed them through thick and thin.

New Orleans has had the NBA come and go and return, but really the Saints is it for them as far as pro sports and La. is football crazy anyway.

Fact is the Saints by and large have been a crappy team for most of it's history. Currently they are a very good team and I know a lot of loyal fans of the Saints are very happy to take their heads out of the paper bag and talk proud about their team. People make fun of the bag guys but they were there during the hard times.

thats so funny, dunham and miller played it the other day.

To just hear the gun shots on the radio is even funnier than watching the video.

I used Boston.com's forum. Good group of guys, but still living on their past laurels a bit too much.

I don't usually predict the outcome of a Saint game but I'll take a shot.

Im scared of our injuries in the secondary and the desperation Dallas should play with in this game. I'll base this on the Saints being at home and the mental toughness I've seen/haven't seen from the 2 teams thus far this year.

Saints 38

Dallas 20

And I said you were a good guy, even came back afterwards. I was really just surprised to see you here to, and that post was my initial reaction. I couldn't follow from site to site like that, heck I only come here cuz of the rivalry, but like you said, there is good football discussion to be had.

Yup. But those bag days were almost 30 years ago, though, and before the Saints finished better than 8-8. Things have been a bit more bearable since then. We did have that four year stretch in the early 90's where we had the best record in the NFL. That may have been the best defense ever, at least as far as the linebacking corps.
