So we took a 13-3 team that had a 1st round bye and went into rebuilding mode with rookie and scrap heap defenders, hoping a 2nd year QB and dunderhead 2nd year RB would overcome all else?

Yep, and in the same year...Jerry Jones gets into the Hall of Fame.... dont look good,,,,Cowboys have not had back to back winning seasons since Garrett became the coach

Rookies starting in the backfield and now they turn to scrubs. You are witnessing the cost associated with building that new fancy training facility....The Death Star.

JG loves consistency. Day in and day out. Season after Season. He's very risk adverse.

8-8, 8-8, 8-8, 12-14, 4-12, 13-3, ????

See a pattern?

In addition to these players I'd like to see a trade for Andy Dalton. This guy used to throw lights out and would benefit from getting out of Cincy and into Dallas. But whom would we trade? Dez, of course

This would actually be hilarious. I mean, if this happened we could forget about things like Super Bowls but on the plus side games would entertaining at least. Andy kinda reminds me of a prime Mark Sanchez. So maybe, just maybe we could witness a butt fumble play once in a while.

I hear Matt Johnson is available, if we are looking for a DB with a good injury history.

Anthony Brown must feel a little left out at the moment. Hasnt been invited to join the treatment room club.

Is Romo working out?

At the desert tray in the broadcast booth. Tony is not interested in playing football any longer.
He's getting 10mil per year just to dissect other teams. He's also not getting hit.

I don't know any name there. Unfortunately.

You don't find players this time of year who aren't just scrubs sitting on the couch at home. Almost all rookies take
a full year of training to get ready to play NFL football. The speed and strength to play at that level is much higher
than college. That's why so many rookies get hurt because their bodies are just not ready for the battle.

Everyone just needs to chill and recognize that we are not a top 5 team because we have some really serious
holes that is going to take time to fix. Besides, only 2 teams get to the SB and one of them is from New England.
Green Bay, Atlanta and a couple of other teams are most likely better than us in our conference. We also have issues
with our coaches if you can't tell.

Man, so much test gnashing here.

We've played two games. One we dominated.

This is true for now
The beauty of the NFL season (esp with a young team) is that the team may be very different than what it is now and other 'great' teams may have issues or injuries and fall off

If we can keep our heads above water with a schedule that does not appear so daunting in the early part, we may be able to be right where we want in the second part of the season

And in the other we were "dominated". In every phase of the game. If it were just one thing that failed, it wouldn't have been so jarring.

We can surely try and keep afloat but, the sharks are circling and looking for fresh meat.

Our biggest failing was sitting on our hands in FA, knowing that Romo's money was coming off the books.

Look we've walked down that FA road before spending more cap that we should have. It rarely works out as you can tell with the Giants
this year after they spend 150mil and Jacksonville did the same. We spent a little money and brought in Moore, Paea and some other bargain
players. The Cowboys are under new money management with Stephen so, you can just forget those old free spending days. Besides, until we
get a real head coach, we are doomed to suffer against real good defenses.
