offer him 7 mil one year and no state taxes. Kick the tires at least. We got nobody after Pollard.

The one player to add because he would truly get this Cowboys team over the hype and actually challenge ANY team all the way to a Super Bowl!!
no he wouldn't :lmao: so now overpaying the RB position is the key to a SB:facepalm:..

the MN offense is damn good and he didn't help them beat the dang giants get over it its not something you do , pay TP 10mil and dead cap 6mil and then what do you offer?

last time a great rb carried his team to a sb? was it henry? nope? first 3 years with zeke nope, Chubb in CLE? nope Dalvin in MN umm heck no MN got slammed to the ground against a better Ds last year, who else cmac, no, kamara, no, hows jones help rogers get to sb, nope, anyone else , AP ever get to a SB? .. TP and our current group with better OL is plenty find. Rather spend on vet LG then a RB or WR.I mean SF loses its qbs try using wildcat with cmac and deebo and guess what Slammed down.

better recent history who were the rbs in last years sb? the winning team used a RBBC and won.. sanders released for couple has been oft injured Rbs thats todays reality, if you you had let TP alk sure welcome cooks, that didn't happen.

For those saying Miami or Buffalo those teams may not have the cap space to sign Cook if he wants to get paid.

Miami has 13 million in cap space this year but are minus 31 million in 2024.

Buffalo has less cap space this year at 5 million and are minus 25 million next year.

Between tackles as well as outside now...also traps and misdirections. Run even when they expect you to do so!

Not only that, but, when we have a lead late in a game, it's important to run the ball to drain clock.

Get it done would be the perfect compliment to pollard. I think he goes to Buffalo though.
An AFC East team....NY jets...Miami..or Buffalo

He will want market value and be a starter.
Not a spot role backup for minimum wages.

How many times have we seen teams make moves to clear space

If they know how to restructure players contracts, they can move money around enuff to gain the neccessary cap space to sign him to a comprising deal.

Looking at the Dolphins and Bills CAP space next year. They could both probably create about $90 million in cap space by doing restructures. They aren't limited by the CAP. Both teams have lots of players with high base salaries in 2024 that can be converted into bonuses.

Also, both could create more cap room in 2023 easily, too.

10m AAV would be the 11th ranked RB salary in the nfl, and he has averaged 1600+ yards from scrimmage over the last 4 years.

There’s likely going to be a mini-bidding war for him, that’s not an unreasonable number.
Agreed. We've got too many on here who think like the Joneses that free agents shouldn't cost more than a couple million. That's not the market value for a player like this. You want him, there are ways to make it work but the AAV is going to be $10 million plus.

Yeah this should be a no-brainer he is a perfect fso pollard is making 10 million this year. We do have what... 20 million in cap spaceit here. Question is how many teams pursue him at what price.
We tagged Pollard... so he is making 10 million. We aint going after Cook, unless he could be had for peanuts.

If you aren't interested to at least see what it would cost, then you're flat crazy.

Him on the field instead of Jones. Absolute upgrade. Then you would be serious about running the ball.
we had the 5th most rushing attempts in the nfl last year.... you dont think that was being serious about running the ball?
