Dan Campbell is a fool

You are thinking in terms of the game mattering to him & his team. It didn't. He was looking to build confidence and reward his guys. I'm guessing the refs screwed them on the reporting issue by the way they reacted. It looks like the play may have still been illegal though.
Actually the refs could have also called ineligible man downfield. So there were 2 fouls. Both on#68. Even though #70 reported, 68 committed 2 penalties

He should've just ran the play that worked the first time and make sure the OL is eligible. I think he just wanted to get out of there because they weren't going to win in OT.
Shoot ... If the Lions got the ball first in OT, I would not bet on our D to keep them out of the EZ.

I think the last two games have broken me of that thinking. DQ plays too much Prevent D late in games .... and you know what they say about Prevent D.

Just sayin'

Who would have thought a former Cowboys' lineman(Skipper) would have helped us win a game.

Agreed, but that also shows you how much he DOES NOT respect this overrated defense
Well he would be WRONG then wouldn't he.. I have a feeling the Boys won.. be happy with any win.. lucky or not it's still a W.

Imagine if Goff didn’t throw the stupid screen INT that set it up. Or the DL decided to actually tackle Dak instead of do what he did on that 92 yard pass play…
Imagine......

MM had his dumb moment trying for a long pass on that 2nd down. Stopping the clock. Could have ran another 45 seconds off the clock. And it never would have got to Campbell‘s dumbness.
I can’t get over that one. I’ve never been so pissed after a win.

That was a great decision to go for it, I've got no problem with that. You can win the game now with one play...overtime is for suckers. McCarthy probably would have punted instead of going for 2 or the XP

Imagine if that was our coach continuing to go for two, even after the penalty on the first two point try. People would be losing their minds in a way that we’ve never see before.

Lions deserve to lose for those decisions.
He coached that like they were 1-15 or something. Just kick the XP and go into OT. MMC would have been torched if he'd have done that over and over and failed.

He did report, it was 70 that was the issue. 70 actually ran up to the official and said something, but the official did not acknowledge him and ran off towards the LOS. 70 was livid, saying he had reported. It looked to me like he did. We got really lucky.
The penalty was on #68. He committed TWO fouls. TWO !!!!

Just guessing but I'm not sure he'd make the same decision if they had not clinched. In other words, losing this game had little impact on their seed. I think he's thinking more of getting his guys off the field before any injuries.

Agreed and I don't blame Campbell for going for it. He is changing the culture there and this was his attempt at a statement. Giving the opposing team 3 chances to convert on us generally does not work in our favor.

Our coach deserves enough blame for not running the damn ball.
