Campbell had nothing to lose in a sense. His team was already going on to the playoffs while hosting a game. The odds of them getting a higher seed are pretty low since the 49ers are at the top atm. I respect the guts of that man for making the call, however, and I can't wait to see how they're going to do in the postseason.

He protected his team. What if he lost Jared Goff or some other important player in overtime. Why risk it for a meaningless win.
