just curious as to your reasoning for giving Newman a pass?

I can only remember seeing Newman twice. once was an incompletion in front of him and the other was when he broke up that deep pass down the middle. So since he was not seen all game long, I am going to assume that he locked down his man.

Wasnt he the one who had a chance to tackle Jacobs and whiffed?

Spencer overran the play at first and let Jacobs get past him. Then there was another player running after Jacobs as well. Sensabaugh was the DB that was held by the WR along the sidelines that almost knocked Jacobs out of bounds. Of course the refs totally ignored the hold, just like every other hold today by the Giants.

Newman was also the cornerback who misplayed the pass on Nicks' touchdown early in the game.

Scandrick was in the picture, but Newman was the guy that gambled trying to make a pick, which left a pretty clear path to the endzone when he whiffed.

*Edit - Did Nicks come from the slot on that play? If so, then I guess that was probably Scandrick's man. But Newman had a chance to tackle him if he didn't make that gamble.

And he actually ran into Scandrick doing so, taking him out of the play.

Between Dan Patrick and Keith Slobermann that show is worthless.
You can add all of them to the mix. That is without a doubt the worst football-related show on television.
