This is one of the first teams to say we are gonna stick to the run and they jammed it down our throats. This guy needs to stop with all these safeties playing out of position. Having 5 safetys and one LBer in at all times is not a way to win in the running game. They constantly got easy push and ran away up the middle, outside, left, right, up, down. It looked like they had a cheat code and thats on Quinn.

Its Hankins.

When there is a 1T that does his job, the small fast LB's are free to flow to the ball or the hole. Their size isn't an issue because they aren't dodging offensive linemen. When the guy in the middle gets pushed back by one OL, the linebackers now have to dodge that pair and other OL coming at them. We saw it last year where LVE looked terrible early on and then was a "new man" and "critical" to the defense later in the season . . . after they got Hankins.

This is why they drafted Mazi. Mazi's poor play at 1T is why he was playing almost exclusively at 3T next to Hankins before he got hurt.

Everyone who thought the run defense was fine last year just got an eyeful of why it was fine.

Yep it's fine playing your nickel 3 Safeties against a passing team, but the good teams can change their game (who saw the Bill's running everything) and we can't counter.
The Bills found a way for playing against Micah and we dont counter, he's expected to rush the QB and there's the gap to attack on the ground.

Mazi is killing us more than anything. That was a bad pick. Secondly our GM is killing us by not adding FAs to shore up the run defense. Thirdly DQ’s hybrid guys and scheme killed us tonight.

The way we approach FA, or rather don’t approach FA, and the drafting of Mazi the bust will do us in the season.

Would it have mattered when the offense was so pathetic? This team's dynamic is dictated by the offense being able to score points and taking pressure off the defense allowing them to play to their strengths, rushing the passer and playing man coverage.

When the offense lays an egg and teams don't have to pass, it's over for the Cowboys.

He’s a genius. Such a genius no one can see what he’s doing.

Their game plan was to run the hell out of the ball until we stop it. Allen only attempted 2 passes on the first drive ( 15 for the game ). In other words, they had zero respect for our ability to stop their running game. This reminded me of the Rams playoff game a few years ago.

BTW......remember a couple of years ago when Wilson and Kearse played like All-Pros?

This thread is pushing a BS message. The Cowboys just had a bad game in cold and wet conditions. It's an outlier.

The need at LB has been obvious most of the season. It is on the scouting department and the coaches to identify the best possible available candidates to fill the need. And then it is on the front office to go out and get one or two of them. Must do that when you have a near championship quality roster. Probably gonna have to pay a bigger price than you want to. The same might be said for another DT.

don't question the mighty quinn. You too can wear your hat backwards when you get in your 60's and pretend to be cool.

Hankins being in the game today and they still rush for well over 100 yards. Do agree the undersized line backer thing is an issue against physical teams who will test us on the ground which will be the blue print.

Cowboys didn’t tackle well, didn’t force the contact, were sloppy with angles it was way more than Hankins being out but he certainly would have helped

Kearse and Wilson are toast. Clark at LB is wildly inconsistent. Bell on a good defense should only be in on passing downs if he is playing LB.

The offense is used to getting lots of opportunities. The Bills started the game with a long TD drive. They put together 3 long TD drives in the first half and Dak couldn’t get the offense into any kind of rhythm with the limited possessions. Losing Martin early was crushing as well since Tyler Bass would be a mediocre player on most college level teams. So, between lack of possession and lack of protection, the offense had no chance. Personally , I think this team got down 21-3, the weather was bad, and they just mailed the rest of it in. They came out in the second half and went 3 and out. They just had nothing yesterday.

So was the SF game...lol.... we will see next week..... Miami will roast this defense....Hill, Waddle, Mostert and the league leading offense against a DQ lead defense...(DQ is a fraud)

Micah played like garbage. Constantly over running, under running. Always in pursuit but never actually on the ball.

You think Mazi was why those outside runs killed us?
