Maybe, but I don't think he can't pass up any opportunity. There is only one direction to go in Denver and they do have some talent.Eric is way 2 smart I think t take the bait and go to Denver. Its a cesspool of dysfunction. They have 0 draft picks.
I caution this^ mindset. Look at Nathaniel Hackett. Where u coach matters. Denver is a terrible situation. Russ is running the show. Its terrible. I think MAYBE Eric might fit better in Carolina.Heck I think he'd be better 2 stay in KC.Maybe, but I don't think he can't pass up any opportunity. Hackett was exposed early as in over his head. Some guys just don't have it. Carolina should strongly consider keeping Wilkes and they should have hired him over Rhule.I caution this^ mindset. I agree . Hackett made a terrible destination even worse because he was woefully under qualified. New ownership better get this hire right. Same with Rhule.I like Wilkes as well.Hackett was exposed early as in over his head. Some guys just don't have it. He isnt fixable. Its called regressing due to talent erosion. It happens to everyone at some point. We saw this last year in Seattle. Denver ignored the red flags and traded for him anyway.Notice he said next year........I think that will their selling point to candidates. You can cut him if you can't fix him after your first season.......we'll take the bullet and move on.

That speaks volumes, usually new coaches never turn down an opportunity to advance even if it’s not the greatest. If he has no interest in coaching the last two games then that says a lot about the organizationDenver offered the interim HC position to the DC and he turned it down. They are a complete mess right now.
