Sean Payton all day long

I'm open for a discussion but tell me why. They seem like the same guy but I think Rodgers would be way harder to coach than Brees

By the way the guy i was arguing with earlier should wear the colors..you as an eagles fan i would think would be kinda pissed he is scared to. If i went on an eagles forum i would come as a cowboys fan like you do here.

I like Dan Quinn a lot, but I think his first/best destiny is as defensive coordinator. I loved Jim Johnson as a defensive coordinator for the Eagles, but I don’t think he would’ve made a great head coach.

The more the NFL pivots their rules to favor the offensive of side of the ball, the more I want an offensive-minded head coach. I’ve always felt Sean Payton was one of the best in the business. He always gave me the impression of being one step ahead of most of the others out there

I would also be very surprised to see him to take the Dallas Cowboys job if offered… he doesn’t seem like a figurehead type of coach to me…and that’s what Jerry usually wants

I agree 100%, and thats is our cross to bare for sure. Jim Johnson was ridiculous and really the only threat to what Jimmy Johnson could do. He literally showed what "0 coevrage could do" the blitz should be named Jim Johnson in my book

Sounds like it would be Dan Quinn if Mike McCarthy is not brought back next year

If Mike McCarthy is fired after this season, would you rather bring in Sean Payton or promote Dan Quinn to head coach?

DQ has totally transformed the Cowboys Defense so much so that regardless of how this season ends for the Cowboys, he's gonna be head coach somewhere. Part of me would rather it be here, even at the potential expense of potentially bringing in Sean Payton.

Thoughts?

If MM does not get this team to at least the NFC Championship I think he will be sacked by JJ. Sean Payton is an excellent coach and offensive coordinator. Perhaps many here are too young to remember but he was the one who developed Tony Romo under Bill Parcels. Payton was the QB coach but he had a large impact on the offensive game plan.

You want to pay massive draft picks for Sean Payton?

HC goes 4-1 with a backup qb. 6-2 overall.

Why are we talkin bout firing him?

I'll say he retires after winning a SB, I feel better that way. So in that case give me Quinn.

Overrated Sean Payton will return to coaching, but that doesn't mean we should dump the great coach we already have. I understand some of you have no appreciation for MM but that's your problem. Don't make your problem everyone else's. Just saying. ;)

I've said for well over a year that Payton is just playing Jerry....he is waiting for the Charger job to open up.
Yup, California boy.

Or 49'ers if Shanahan doesn't produce a SB.

All Big Mike does is win.

He goes, I go.

it’s crazy. We sat through 10 years of complete garbage with Garrett here. Now in less than 3 seasons the team looks the best it has in probably 30 years. This goes to show that some think the grass is always greener elsewhere .. but it won’t be!
