I have never been convinced Quinn is as great as some people think. The Cowboys defense improved when Micah Parsons came to the team. SF showed what happens when you neutralize Parsons. Take away the pass rush and Quinn's defense folds like a cheap suit.

When Quinn was HC of the Falcons his defenses were not great. So I agree, we need to get more innovative on both sides of the ball. But right now the biggest problem is McCarthy's offense. He seems to be stubborn about what he is doing while the offense is really underperforming.

I like DQ, but I get this line of thinking. Just get a fresh face, culture, and thinking in the locker room.
DQ isn't what the Cowboys need. What they need is a full time GM. An owner who is happy with the franchise being successful and a HC who has the freedom to do his job. Dallas has none of that. Instead it's a franchise that is micromanaged to death by a part-time GM who is more interested in developing the brand based on early success he had.

Dan's done a good job on the whole, but cracks are starting to appear.

Quinn has the same lackadaisical culture problems we have had forever. Look how he treats Micah that's all you need to know.

We need young, innovative types.

These old, washed up, recycled, formerly fired HC have been left behind and surpassed.

We need a young coordinator or college HC to come in with new ideas and modern playbooks.

Dan Quinn is a fine coordinator, but he’s not a HC. If another team wants to take that chance then let them.
Agree 100% !!!!
All great Coordinators don't make great headcoaches...

By the way, you were proved right about Dak Presscot.
You have taken a lot of heat over the last couple of years, but have been proven to be right about him.
It is time to move on, and now most see, what you saw earlier.

Dallas and the N.F.L. in general love retreads. They would rather lose with a burn out head coach than take a chance on winning with someone new.

Thank you, brother.

Dak was always going up prove me right. It was the safest bet in sports.

It's hard to do when the offense keeps going 3 and out. The defense was bad. The offense was worse.
What's hard is coming back from 28-7. The offense was terrible, but this is the worst the defense has played in years.

this is where I am in agreement. Dan's defense has laid an egg twice this season and looked totally lost and beat up on Jr. high teams.

even against SF, they laid an egg, 21 points in first half. first drive set the tone. too many mental mistakes. SF showed how to stop the cowboys defense. take out Parsons. double block him on multiple levels and the rest of the team sucks.

This is my fear if they do part ways with McCarthy. Jerry will just go with the most familiar retread in Quinn.

The Cowboys need to be bold with the next hire...........a McVay, a Shanahan, a McDaniel, a Sirianni.

Not find some retread who is desperate for a head gig and will do whatever you tell him to do. Sadly, there is zero chance of that happening.

Kevin O Connell if he gets fired in Minnie or perhaps Ben Johnson, Detroit OC, come to mind. But let's be real- it aint gonna happen. More than likely, it'll be Dan Quinn or maybe even some retread like Jeff Fisher. I refuse to believe Jerry and Stephen will change anything until I see it. Until then, its status quo i.e. failure.

Jerry loves his loser retreads. They don't rock the boat much.

I agree, if MM goes, they should clean house for most coaches. But, none of it will matter if they retain the same QB. I hope DQ knows that before taking the job because Dak will take him down too.

Just like Wade Phillips, both are awesome DC's but not HC material....
