He was solid, but I think the over-reliance of turnovers masked the true issues this defense had. Just think in back to back years we had two CBs have historical seasons…it’s unfair to not give him some credit for that but that’s an anomaly and once that luck started drying up the issues started to become more prominent

This defense has been for years even before DQ a target of other teams good running schemes. Being ran over when it mattered and just was never fixed. Year after year it was always the same old story. A brand new opportunity just reared it's beautiful head and we have a chance to get someone in here that can finally do that for us now. But do we waste it and appoint a staff member to move up?

Not true. He had a bad game againt Green Bay, but all of his other playoff games he was solid. The QB is the problem

The way it ended here was a disaster. I will never forget it the worst game our defense has ever played in a big game on national television.

Kinda like DQ's super bowl team that his defense lost out a big lead after half time. Got curb stomped in the second half.

That was by design. The new owners tanked the season by trading away their pass rushers to Chicago and San Francisco to clear the salary CAP and give the new GM and HC a clean slate to start over. I wouldn’t consider 2023 to be any indication of what the team will be going forward.

They tanked to clear the CAP, and get a high draft pick so they can choose a top QB prospect. That was the smart play.
