Dan Quinn

He should pay Parsons at least half of his contract Seattle gives him.

He is not going to be here for long. Maybe we are lucky to keep him for another season but with his resume and age (not too old), teams will be lining up to give him a second chance as a HC. Even worse is that he will probably take his staff of assistants too...either the DL or secondary coach probably ends up as his DC

He took a team to the Super Bowl as head coach. Even though they lost, that will appeal to teams along with what he has done here. I've said before that we're more in danger of losing him than Moore.

In terms of needing permission to talk to teams check this out.

Strange to see an assistant leave during the season to take the same job in college.

That is strange. Steelers probably realize they do not have a great shot at making the playoffs. Klemm has West Coast roots and could be he wanted to get back to coaching at the college level. This is an important time for recruiting and Oregon likely wanted him to join the staff sooner than later. Klemm is known to be an excellent recruiter so I could understand the push from Oregon.

Dan Quinn deserves another shot at HC somewhere. He's earned it. I could say he's flawed as a coach but great as a DC but he DID make a super bowl with the Falcons of all teams. And it does seem like he has learned his lesson about playing prevent and giving up a game.

If Quinn wants to be a HC somewhere then good luck to him. But he can earn dam good money coaching all this talent here where we have a chance to dominate this division for a few years.

If we win the SB I don’t care who leaves. I can live on that for year.

I might add…..drafting two cornerstone studs in Diggs and Parsons in the past two years has helped more than any coach.
That is the key , we need to win this year,

because you never know in FA crazier things happen, we cant hold on to Gallup, Schultz, Randy , Kearse and other 1 year contract contributors.

Heard on 105.3 The Fan this morning that Dan Quinn would absolutely love to head back to Seattle as a HC if Carroll is let go. I truly hope this dosent happen. Yes talent is a part of the defensive turn around but Dan Quinn is a huge factor as well.
Probably Broaddus spouting non-sense.

If this were to happen I think I'd prefer that we elevate an assistant to DC. These players in this system is gold. Would kinda suck to see them have to learn a new system after seeing what they've done this year.

If a team he likes offers him a HC gig then I do not see him staying.

I think Jerry would pony up t9 keep him from a dead end job. If the right job is offered DQ is gone

I'm not a big fan of Zimmer's defense.

if he gets fired by the Vikings, which there is a good chance he might, and we were to lose Quinn, I would hire Zimmer in a heartbeat. You’re getting the same thing as Quinn, athough it appears Quinn relates to the players better. Another fiery guy, with head coach experience, who could be the backup. The only thing I don’t like about Zimmer, and it could just be because he was at the mercy of the Cowboys drafting and signing here before Parcells, But he seemed to like undersize players and it looks like our new defensive mentality that’s winning for us is to go big.
