Probably my favorite UDFA pickup. Played out of position as a LT, he's far more of a RT, but he wasn't bad as a LT either. Has gone up against some big time players in college, one of them being Myles Garrett.

I like him a a run blocker, and his pass protection should get better like it was in 2015 when he moves back to RT. I wouldn't be surprised if he pushes an OL for a roster spot in camp.

Here's a link to his draft breakdown page, has enough film on him for everyone to get an idea of the player he is.

Probably the one people will be interested in most, when he faced Myles Garrett. Though, you might want to check out how he played at RT since that's where he'll end up.

There is a lot to like about him in that game, especially considering that #15 on defense if Myles Garrett.

Yeah I had seen multiple mid-round projections for him and when considering the lack of talent and depth in the OL class, I was curious what the deal was with him and why he didn't get picked up.

Not many 6-10 players in football now or, as far as I'm aware, ever. It's a little weird to even think about that as being plausible, though obviously it is.

I've only seen a few over 6'8.

Too Tall Jones - 6'9
Richard Sligh - 7'0 .. lasted one season - DT
Jonathan Ogden / Jared Gaither - 6'9 - OL
Morris Stroud - 6'10 - Tight end

There may be a couple of OL off this list, and Sligh and Stroud played way back in the day

He was penalized a lot, so much Bielema had him change his jersey number because he feared the officials were targeting him.

I like bringing him in, but some of his tape is considerably worse than this game. He is a punishing run blocker with a mean attitude. But he is so SLOW in pass pro and has terrible punch and hands. DE's knock his hands down with ease and he does not use his long arms at all. Maybe the hands are correctible with coaching. But I'm not sure the feet are. We'll see.

Dirty player. I'm glad he's on our team or either out of the league.

If he doesn't bend, guys are going to throw him on his ***....

The Bama game was his worst, by far. But a lot of this is simply because he's not LT quality, he's RT, which he played really well at in 2015.

There are tools to work with. Worth a look! Love the pickup because of the upside. If he doesn't take to coaching, or if he simply plays bad...he costs the Cowboys nothing.

I highly doubt it. The tallest guard in NFL history was Robert gallery. He was 6'7 an started out at tackle. Not many 6'10 guards!
lol, somehow I missed that he is 6'10. Thanks for the info. Good to have options st RT though. Green, Bell, Cleary and now this guy.

yea but he is sloppy player - slow footed - gets pushed around

he won't impress me at this level

might as well start selling cars
