Exactly what I thought when I read the title of this thread.

Guess they never watched the Comedy Central Roast of Flava Flav.

Personally I like Salisbury. The trouble he got into at ESPN for showing off his manhood ....

What?

Was he trying to intimidate John Clayton?

Oh you didn't hear. He was suspended for two weeks I believe for taking pics on his camera phone of his wee-wee and showing it to some co-workers.

The sad truth was that the pics in question were of actual size on his phone display...

I hadn't heard that.

Reminds me of George Costanza getting fired for having sex with the cleaning lady.

"Was that wrong? Ya know, if somebody would have just told me before, then I wouldn't have done that."

ESPN has a long history of sexual harrassment. I guess there's a locker room atmosphere there.

What do you wanna bet, he sent the pics with some lame line such as, "How 'bout some Salisbury steak?"

LOL! Nice shot on the camera phone.

As for the woman getting suspended...meh. It's a roast people, live with it. I don't think the comments about Jesus were needed, but it shouldn't offend people nearly as much seeing as how it happened at an event where things like that are just going to happen.

I do agree with the post way back on page one, or two maybe, about the Kelly/Tiger thing. That was WAY overblown, but not really surprising that it was. Just about everytime Al Sharpton sticks his nose into something it's to overblow the situation.

Is it unfortunate that she used the term lynch? Maybe. I'm not black so I don't get how that is exclusively a black word, in terms of it being bad. I've heard that word used for just the same reasons the guy mentioned before.

Lynching a coach, a C.E.O, a boss and all of those folks were white when it was used. Would it really have made it better, and not offensive to Sharpton and Jim Brown and such if she'd have said "They should take him into a back alley and mob him?" or something like that?

Please. She wasn't trying to be racist. It was a joke, clearly a joke, about the only way they could hope to beat him, routinely, would be if they all ganged up and roughed him up.

It just seems like today that things get blown WAY OUT of proportion, just for the sake of doing so.

I don't think it was blown out of proportion at all. She was not at a roast, and should have chosen her words more carefully. Should she lose her job? Probably not. But I think the disciplinary actions the network took were fitting.

The lesson learned in all this?

Liquor is the ENEMY!

Never forget that boys and girls.

What are some other incidents at ESPN?

Harold Reynolds was let go due to sexual harassment. I think Woody Paige was sued for it as well. There's a book entitled ESPN: The Uncensored History that supposedly is full of stories about this type stuff.
