LOL:lmao2: I've made that comment to my wife too about how her body looks like a guy's. Her arms are bigger than my legs. LOL She totally looks like she is on hgh...okay now you got me laughing. I think she has a pretty face but her body seems rather masculine.

In regards to her comments, it's all about the setting. I don't think her comments are wrong but just out of place. Even at a roast, you have to be clever in how you insult someone, you don't just come out and yell "F Notre Dame" Honestly, that is just common sense. When you are a public figure or a person in power, you have to carry yourself in a certain way. It may not be fair but that's life. There are advantages to being less powerful and that's one of them; you can say what you want to say

I personally like the fact that she rips on Notre Dame and Ohio St on ESPN First Take. I hate both schools.

I don't know, I have heard some worse things said at roasts. Not everything is a clever comment.

Plus I have heard Eric Cartman on Southpark say expletive Jesus. If Comedy Central can say it, why not at a roast?

Because she is a real person who works for ESPN which is owned by Disney and is still considered a pseudo journalist/reporter so they are held to higher standards than pure entertainers like cartoons and actors. I'm just being a realist.

Not by me, but I get your point.

not by me either but it's the unfortunate reality that you have to behave when you are in that situation. It's sad huh. Even at a private roast, you can't joke around and let loose. That's life though. I learned this lesson the hard way. When I was in med school, some friends and I crashed a wedding at one of our formals. We didn't do anything other than steal some appetizers and a couple of glasses of wine and walked back to our formal. What can I say, Wedding Crashers motivated us. Well, we got caught. It went to our dean and I was put on probation for a year. The dean explained to me that as a professional, we are held to different standards. At the time, I thought they were being unfair but it was a damn good lesson. In public, I watch everything I say. Even if I go to public events or parties, I don't have more than two drinks or I won't drink at all.

I loved the old roasts with Deano and especially Don Rickles. Don was/is one of those rare birds that can get away with it all.

Some of the newer roasts were funny...some of the lines in the william shatner one had me rolling. George Tekai (sp?) aka Sulu had one that had me crying from laughing so hard.

In a private event like that I imagine there were quite a few rude or controversial remarks.

I think what might have been the problem as that it appears the lady was so drunk she had no control over herself. Seems like the story indicates that others were trying to help her out and finally had to boot her off stage.

It's a good thing Suzy Kolber wasn't there.

Dana would have asked her for a kiss.

That clip of joe never gets old. You feel sorry for her because of him being so drunk but you still had to laugh.

I guess ESPN doesn't understand what takes place at a ROAST?

Exactly what I thought when I read the title of this thread.

Guess they never watched the Comedy Central Roast of Flava Flav.

If I was drunk I would ask Suzy for a kiss, too.

Absurd. Everyone knows that roasts are "anything goes" gatherings where the most vile, offensive things can be said without fear of retribution. Shame on ESPN for imposing their skewed morals on a private, off-the-clock event.

5. The best thing about ESPN host Dana Jacobson's meltdown at the Mike and Mike roast is that it proves beyond a reasonable doubt that women can be just as publicly stupid and vulgar as men.

Jacobson, in a drunken attempt at humor, F-bombed Notre Dame and Jesus. ESPN suspended the "First Take" host for a week. You drop a woman in ESPN's locker-room environment and "surprisingly" she acts just like Sean Salisbury and everyone else. Personally I like Salisbury. The trouble he got into at ESPN for showing off his manhood reminded me of my college playing days when everyone would rush to get naked when the cleaning lady ran late tidying our locker room.

The second-best thing about Jacobson's rant is that it drew attention to the lame Mike and Mike roast. ESPN desperately wants you to believe Greenberg and Golic are big stars. They're not. If they were, they wouldn't have an F-list celebrity/***clown like Jacobson roasting them.

The next time Greenberg or Golic say something insightful or provocative will be the first time.

Dang. I agree. I don't/can't listen to them. Just not good. I don't like when radio guys seem to be trying to hard. They over annunciate words, try to use big words to sound smart, use a fake sounding voice and get loud. Both guys do that thing. Same with Steven A. Smith.

I tottally disagree and think that Mike and Mike is possibly the greatest thing that ever happened to me between 7 and 9 am.

Good way to start the day.

Hahaha! I actually enjoy Mike and Mike... but Golic does over annunciate a lot of words.

I couldn't disagree more. I think they are absolutely boring. They say nothing provactive or thought compelling. Most of their shows consists of inside conservations about everyday life or jokes they laugh at that are not funny at all. Golic thinks it's so interesting to talk about his family and Greenburg laughs in a very fake way as if it was so funny what Golic's daughter did. They rarely discuss sports in any detail and all their opinions are predictable as they purposefully avoid offending anyone by not having a strong opinion on anything. They are very fake and p.c. You can tell that Greenburg is intelligent but is held back by Golic and ESPN because they want their show to appeal to a lot of people so they say nothing that would offend anyone so they discuss sports in a very superficial and light way. I'm lucky to live in Phoenix because we have some great local guys that do actually discuss sports: Bickley and Jurecki!!!!

Jason Whitlock is really good and it's a shame people like him are not more popular. Whitlock isn't afraid to speak the truth and get to the heart of a matter.

I disagree with your comment above. Jacobson is an intelligent and articulate host. She is not a clown by any means. Yeah, she got a little crazy with the Belvadere and said some stupid things but she is not some hack like some of you are trying to portray her as. Dude, look at her! There are far hotter women in sports broadcasting so if she was just some superficial dumb host, she wouldn't be hosting that show. They replaced the original female host on Cold Pizza with Jacobsen because the original host didn't understand sports and that was evident. If they were just seeking dumb eye candy, there are better options than Jacobsen and that's a huge understatement!! Just because she got drunk one night, don't stereotype her as some shallow bimbo.

Uhmm, that's Jason Whitlock's opinion, not mine.
