That's the thing. We talk about how players bring more to the table with return ability but then forget about the fact we have a gutless philosophy when it comes to that. This is the same organization that didn't ride Ezekiel Elliott until his legs fell off in the playoffs. So then you have to start to evaluate the player as a pure contributor at his position and then evaluate off of that. Jackson falls short to me.

Well I will say, if they do draft Jackson and don't let him punt return then its a wasted pick. Probably the best returner in college football and we need help there.

This organization has problems if we draft Jackson, or for that matter Peppers, and don't let them return.

The roles are too well defined sometimes. It is like they look at it and go, well the KR needs to be the third RB who gets this kind of duty on 3rd downs and then we have the punt returner be this little fella who we sometimes put in there to run a jet sweep and fake reverses, occasionally sending his tiny body into the line of scrimmage to block.

Way I see it is he did it in college, best in college football. If we draft him and don't use that attribute, we are just dumb.

Deion was a special case to me, although I would've used him more as a punt returner and not at WR at all.

Why is there concern for Adoree? I thought he was a freak athlete who's a ballhawk?
I'm seeing a lot of guys on the board with this sentiment.
Said it before, not saying he is a bad player. I just have a distinct preference for other corners ahead of him.

I also don't think as a pure player, he is qualified to be the BPA at pick number 28. He still needs a lot of technical work and he is a little behind developmentally than others at the position.

Picking him at 28 is not a temper tantrum thing, but I would not be waving a foam finger in joy either.

I love Jackson's skill set, but he's so small. I'd rather have either Quincy Wilson or a safety, such as Melifonwu. If that's all the talent available at 28, I would look for them to trade down to the Browns for their 33rd & 108th picks. We would get pretty much equal value, & would have the first pick on Day 3.

I think we will see the speed rushers who aren't big names and some better tackling CBs in round 2. Won't surprise me at all to see us drop out of #28 into the top of round 2 to pick up an extra pick, possibly from the Browns, but could be anyone.

You would feel different by week 8
