Exactly. Contract increases every ye

They didn't trade, or overpay for over-hyped players within the first few hours of the tampering period. Isn't this thread about something the Cowboys have in the works??

But they still haven't done anything. 'Damned if you do, damned if you don't' doesn't really apply. Since they've only done one of those things.

I think he is a guy that is going to be productive if there is an DMVP caliber player on the field. He had a 10 sack season with Donald, and was extremely productive with Parsons. He has top notch athleticism, and he will feast on mismatches
Yeah, pretty much…

Fowler actually adds a lot of juice to the pass rush. He’s a good rotational edge to have… particularly at the rate Dallas got him for last year.

He isn’t your primary or even secondary pass rusher… but as your 4th or 5th like he was in Dallas, he adds something good to your rush group.
Never can have enough pass rushers

He also couldn't set the edge and let a lot of plays get around him.

The posters will complain if they sign a player, and the posters will complain if they don't sign a player. I can't simply it anymore than that.

How hard is it to come up with a two year, $4.7 million dollar deal? Done
I’m bracing for a stupid number if he’s their #1 priority so far in FA, but I hope it’s not more than 2/$10-12M

Don't understand the need. Last year, it made sense to add him, but now we have Williams to couple with Lawrence, Armstrong and Parsons. Seems like the money could be better spent elsewhere, like corner and linebacker. Would much prefer we retain Wilson over re-signing Fowler, but Wilson is going to get a good payday while Fowler can be had for another one-year deal.
I'm a little surprised too but he was productive on the field. We also don't know how Williams incident will play out.

I think that’s what is confusing to a lot of posters here.

It’s not that the negative post dislike Fowler (huge fan of his. Check when we signed him I was one of the few loving the signing). But these are moves you typically can make prior to the free agent frenzy.

Can’t get a deal done? It happens. But it’s like Jerry and Stephen slap the fans in the face sending this out. Commanders beef up their line? Giants filling needs. 49ers making a huge splash. You didn’t see their media “working hard on a deal!!!”.

It’s what frustrates the fans. That they are praying for some change and a bit of hope. But they dangle Dante Fowler in your face.

Granted, it’s day one. But we all know this team is likely not doing anything.

It’s the same how they continually dangle the “contacted and interested in Bobby Wagner”

This isn’t an attack on you as you are one of my favorite posters on the board. Just my two cents why people act crazy around this time
There's a way to make your point without assassinating his character like this.

Fowler disappeared down the stretch. Guy is easily replaceable. DT, LB, WR are much bigger needs.
