Rather keep hankins,imo
Who says we don't? I'd venture that we do.

If we would have had Hankins in the beginning of last year, we could have possibly gotten homefield advantage.

My guess is McCarthy's play-calling this year is what keeps us out of the SB. I think they're finally figuring out how to assemble a team, personally .

He also couldn't set the edge and let a lot of plays get around him.
He’s a designated pass rusher. He’s mainly in on passing downs.

Which games do you remember him being unable to set the edge? It happens to everybody sometimes, but I don’t really remember that very much with him, considering you said it happened a lot.

Never can have enough pass rushers
That’s true. And anyone that watched him last season should’ve been able to see the juice that he brings to the Rush.

If there are other guys that get a lot of the pass blocking attention (Parsons, DLaw) and he just has a one-on-one with his OL, he definitely can pressure the QB effectively. Quinn loves a robust DL rotation, so they need guys.

I’m not sure how any cowboys fan could have an issue with an inexpensive 4th or 5th pass rusher that can get to the QB. I’ve been saying since the end of the season that they needed to bring him back.

In limited snaps he make a big impact in that area. Injuries happen as well as the team wants to keep rotating their lineman to keep them fresh.

Before knocking this potential move. Consider Fowler had 1 sack every 57 snaps, which was the best among defenders on this team playoing more than 25% of snaps.

Not apples to apples but if he played the same number of snaps as DLAW that averages out to 12 sacks over the season. For same as Armstrong 9.5, and 16 playing the same number as Micah. It's certainly more difficult getting sacks when you're constantly on the field, but the point is he made an impact in the rotation.

I remember looking forward to the day Stephen took over for Jerry.

Now I wish we could go back to Jerry having full reign. We might not be any better, but at least we'd try.
100%. The difference is that Jerry wants to win at some lower priority, but everything has to be attributed to him and he has to do it his way. Stephen has only $$$ on the list of priorities and winning isn't even of casual interest to him.
