And I see the trade deadline is in Nov. So Morris would have been acclimated with the team by then. To get rid of McFadden, he will have to really bomb to not want 3 quality rb's.
His balance looks pretty good to me. He is really hard to bring down. He also smashes into DBs and punishes them pretty hard. He has a really good run vs LSU where he grinds tough yards.
He is a small school project, hopefully he can get good coaching to shore up the rest of his game. He seemed intelligent and a RKG based on a couple of interviews and doesn't look like a Christine Michael type or WKG, so I think he has a pretty decent shot here.
Yes, but they have had McFadden for just 1 year too.
But they just signed Morris so a year is a big difference in this case.

Again, McFadden would really have to bomb for them wanting him gone.
I think he's going to have to be a standout on special teams to not end up on the practice squad. With runnings backs, it's not just about running ability, it's about trust. They aren't putting Romo in his hands anytime soon.
There are two things that impress me about Zeke, and neither of them was revealed at the combine. 1) His vision is so special, he makes it look easy. 2) From a young age, he dedicated himself to becoming a standout blocker because he noticed none of the other backs wanted to do it.
Why McFadden, because he doesn't play special teams I'm guessing. Neither does Morris, so why won't he be traded?

Because Morris is a better fit for the zone blocking scheme we want to run most often
And McFadden is a better fit in the passing game from the backfield and in the open field.
Agree. But if I had to cut one, it would be McFadden. Morris is tailored fit to run behind this line on first and second down. Which is a bigger need if Zeke gets dinged (knock on wood).
McFadden ran well on 1st/2nd down. I'm getting you just love Morris and want him to be the 2nd back.
Again, why do we have to cut one? Why can't we have 3? Unless it so important one has to play special teams. That it's make or break in cutting McFadden.
Injuries happen and teams get in a bind. I'm sure some Seattle fans said why would anyone trade for Michael last year.
I think it comes down to how Darius Jackson shows in TC and preseason. He's played well on ST in college and obviously has physical traits to do it in pros. If he can also run well enough and pick up mental part, McFadden's $1.75M might not be worth it.

What reps is he gonna get in training camp and preseason to show enough for the Cowboys to trade McFadden? Jackson will be on the practice squad.
More like they would say why didnt we play him? Then, thanks for the draft pick and our running back back.
