Dark horse HC candidate no one is talking about

Campbell is the closest thing we’ll get to Sean Payton. He knows the playbook and you’d hope that’d translate

Not even close. Payton had OC experience. Campbell has never called plays. Just because Campbell happens to be coaching in NO right now doesn't mean he's absorbed the Saints offensive schemes and the game calling skills that Payton possesses.

Beat writers say Jerry likes Payton (never happen) and DeFillipo
Why DeFillppo? He had one season with the Eagles and so far as OC with the Vikings he’s above average not phenomenal. 12th in yards and 13th in points.

That’s with a QB that is very good at piling up the yards.

Don't be surprised if JJ keeps Garrett and hires a youngin to be OC or hires an old retread he knows well, like Fisher or Turner. I think JJ prefers low profile, unassuming coaches that don't overshadow him.

I think the heat is finally raising on old jerrah, if we dont make it above 5 wins, no way in Haiti's he keeps red. And 5 would be pushing it right now.

Extensive offensive resume. Considered a very good QB coach. Wentz gave DeFillipo a lot of credit for helping him, etc.

Saints win the Suoer Bowl. Brees is named MVP and retires. Payton comes over to be HC and brings Teddy B with him. Unlikely but nothing wrong with hope

So was Parcells. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not for the hire, but if he's hired it would be just like Jerry to do so. It's also been rumored that Holmgren is one of the coaches that Jerry gets his second opinions from.

I hadn't heard that as we'll.

I'd be very disappointed if that were to be the case because it would show me that despite the change at head coach, nothing much would be changing.

Holmgren was a better coach that Garrett will ever be, but I think it was clear that the game had passed him by.

If the Cowboys do fire Garrett I think it's likely that Norv Turner is the new head coach. He's weak, familiar with the way the Cowboys are structured and he's considered a QB guru. You have Jerry being comfortable and Prescott getting help. It's almost a lock this is the route he'd go.

And it would be an epic failure. Just a new coach to blame all our problems on.

Just me but I don't get the love for Lincoln Riley. Look at his resume.......I see nothing to suggest he's ready for NFL head coaching job.

Besides, we have a ton of big-money free agent signings (our own) coming up over the next 2-3 years. No way I'm trusting this team with a coach with no NFL experience as an assistant or head coach.

Give me
Jim Harbaugh
Jack Del Rio
Kris Richard
Tom Coughlin ( my dark horse lol)

Jason said he will be here a while and expects to return next season and plans to work even harder.

Barry Switzer will be taken out of mothballs and named new HC.

my top 3 and we’ve heard in media get verified last few weeks are:

1) Riley
2) McDaniels
3) Campbell

However, there’s a 4th name no ones talking about that may be an intriguing option. Jeff Brohm, HC at Purdue. Last year took terrible talent and exploded on the scene. This year he has a freshman playing like Reggie Bush and is top 15 in total offense.

Played in the league for years and has a very dynamic mind. Think of him as the super aggressive Jason Garrett. Long time NFL QB who’s a smart guy and related well to young people. However he can win even not having best talent on the field which is what JG struggles with.

The league is taking more and more from college and this would be a great mind as an option if others don’t pan out

Oh, I do like that idea! Brohm would certainly be a good joice.
