Still don't understand what the Vikings were thinking. He played really well last year and looked like he'd finally figured the league out a bit. Then they went for a college guy that wasn't that great at Michigan. McCarthy sucked this year.

Seattle is going to be good for a while. Darnold is becoming what his draft profile said he'd be.

They drafted McCarthy and Darnold was supposed to back him up. Nobody expected Darnold to put it all together as he has the past 2 years. He is finally looking like the top draft pick.

And this is a fair statement. According to what you've said, we have to put Trent Dilfer, Colin Kaepernick, Nick Foles on a tier above quarterbacks like Josh Allen, Joe Burrows, Lamar Jackson, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, etc.

Especially Foles and Dilfer. Foles and Dilfer accomplished a win on the biggest stage in one try. Kelly had 4 tries on the biggest stage and couldn't win like Foles and Dilfer.

Because they finally put him in a decent O. Same w/ Daniel Jones.

His OC was Jeremy Bates from the Shanny coaching tree. Which means long developing routes which means your QB has to sit in the pocket way too long which means he's going to get killed. Same thing happening to poor Sam Purdy as we speak.

Now, look what happens when they put him in a better type O. He's throwing lazers at the snap' and not taking those horrific 7 step drops.

Darnold is no scrub. In the last 2 seasons as a starter for 2 competent teams, he has thrown for 60 TDs and over 4000 yards each with a 30-7 record. Sure he has had some bad games here and there and can throw a lot of picks. But now if he goes on to finish the job, he will ascend into that next level of greatness. If it wasn't for his past reputation from the Jets and Panthers, everyone would be looking at him in a completely different light right now.

Just like how Romo was still considered to have upside as an older first-time starter when he took over, I think Darnold can have the same type of leap.

One game does not mean a trend. He wasn’t even that bad in that playoff game against the Rams. He had a fumble and an interception but they got steamrolled as a team.

Say what you want about him being carried by the defense in that game vs San Fran, Dak loses that game yesterday 100 time out of 100.

His defense gave up 27 points and I was told its impossible for a QB to win if your defense gives up that many points in a playoff game

And the Rams had a chip shot if they only needed a field goal on the penultimate drive so in reality the Seahawks defense gave up 30 points.
