Wow. How soon everyone has forgotten about Myron Rolle. I hope the other NFL teams have such short memories so Cowboys can steal him w/a 2nd.

I didn't forget him, but he projects more as a SS and we need to draft a FS.

Who could ever forget Rolle's lone INT in 2006 anyway?

We should have gone after Darren this year in fa, i believe he was a FA? At least for 2 years but we fell for Hamlin, I guess we have to wait a few years to get rid of this bum who is late on any coverage zone possible.

Rolle's intelligence and work ethic (watches a ton of film) makes him more suited to FS imo. Rolle is obviously most known for his tackling and he has only played the in-box safety spot for FSU. The SS in the NFL has to cover RBs, TEs and WRs which Rolle did in FSU, but may not be fast enough to do so in NFL. Rolle is about the same size as Ken Hamlin and about as fast (speed is comparable to some of the FS you listed), but the kid is so much smarter.

Dallas may have a similar guy (more experienced at FS even) in Mike Hamlin, but I just like smart hard working high character players. That is Rolle in spades. If Rolle falls to the 3rd, or even 4th, I hope Dallas takes him.

Brett Maxie is coaching the safeties, Sensabaugh has been ace and Hamlin erratic, Watkins much improved so overall I'd say the mentorship is solid.

If Mike Hamlin can't learn from Sensabaugh and Maxie then what would bringing in another player-coach do?
