Don't quite agree with him. We've drafted well, but we haven't supplemented those drafts with top-quality free agents. So there are some major holes that get exploited by quality teams.

What would this defense have looked like with a monster DT on the inside? What would it have looked like with a top-notch free safety.

Now, I don't think we were going to make a major move on offense because we thought we had it covered, but what if we had traded before the deadline for a better guard or center? We want to go to the Super Bowl, but the front office makes no moves to try to cement that effort.
Where Jerry and Stephen fails most is their refusal to recognize that the good players drafted are not always worthy of a second contract. Instead of trading them for more pick under their rookie deal or just flat out letting them go, they sign too many guys to big money who are not worth the investment. Churn the roster, Jerry!

The problem is the players we pay the most, arent good enough.

Dak needs to be carried

Tank hasnt had a sack in the playoffs since his rookie season

Zeke is flabby and sick

Coop is too hot or cold
And that's 100 percent Jerry.

They keep getting fleeced in negotiations. Dragging out the Dak deal when they logistically could've had him for 25M years ago. Caving to DLaw even after he prolonged his surgery. Caving to Zeke even though they still had two years of control on his contract. Extending Jaylon for god knows why and having the nerve to call him a "cornerstone player."

These agents lick their chops when they're dealing with these two Arkansas rednecks.

Anyone who looks at this offensive and defensive line and says it's good enough to win a Championship doesn't know what they're talking about. Including Darren Woodson.

My problem with Jerry is he's never thinking ahead.

He trades a 1st rd pick for Cooper and instead of extending him immediately, he waits and let's him go to Wash and get a huge offer and then is forced to match the most desperate team with plenty of cap space.

He screwed the pooch on Dak, DLaw and Zeke too. The players aren't your friends. They use every bit of leverage they can. Sometimes you need to make a fair offer and trade them if they don't like it.

This year hey should have decided which of the long list of F.A.'s they wanted back and tried to extend them then before the season ended.

Kearse, Hooker, Ced Wilson, Turner etc.

The problem is, he chose the players that cant win the game ...chicken and the egg....You want full control and full praise, then here it is...the players you chose lost the game AGAIN. He said he picks down to the hot dog vendor......

Now make that list when its a span of 25 years....again he wants credit for everything if they win which means what....
I hear you, Frog, but we were talking about right now.

Jerry deserves the blame because he’s GM. He admits as much. He’s never let a true culture of accountability be fostered since Jimmy left. BP tried but Jerry made sure to sabatoge him once he started having success. Players and coaches need to feel pressure to win.

Who made the decision to play a one-legged Zeke over Pollard. The one TD drive they had Pollard was on the field.

Who decided to stick with CW instead of trying to get their best 5 on the field instead of having Steele ride the pine?

It is easy to blame one thing, but there are numerous reasons why this team failed and the coaches need to be held accountable for their decisions.

Woody, at some point the players have to be prepared to win.

I think thats the big question was it the coaches or did the owner have a say in it...you would think if the owner was clean in this its an easy desicion.

He doesn’t think ahead. He never has. It’s “win now” but never a legit plan in place to actually do that. Specially during the Garrett and Wade debacle. There was zero foresight and the decision making was a joke.

If there's anything that Cowboys players have learned is that you NEVER cross Jerry.
Jerry is the one who sees to it you have rights and privileges as a Cowboy when you finish your playing days.
Irvin has hinted at much.
CeeDee Lamb initially did not want to wear No. 88 - the number Jerry suggested he wear. He wanted No. 10 (if I recall correctly). Irvin basically told him Jerry is the one who will see to it you remain a legend with the Cowboys after your playing days. In essence, Jerry will take care of you.
So, even though I understand what Woodson is saying, and there's some truth in what he's saying, Jerry has been the constant in this 26-years of mediocrity known as the Cowboys.
He may not play, but he's the big boss and the buck stops with the big boss.

If Romo and Dak had that great defense, they would've won a SB. Put Trent in with both Romo/Dak led teams, they don't sniff the playoffs.
Trent is laughing a Dak

Tim Tebow is too. 1-1 in the playoffs "Tebow completed 10 of 21 passes in the contest, setting an NFL record for yards per completion in a playoff game at 31.6.[113] Media sources noted Tebow's passing yards (316) and yards per completion (31.6)

dak the backup.
