David Bowie passes away

Hearing Blackstar is quite a great sendoff for Bowie. I'm happy to hear that, I felt his music was really hit and miss since the 80s.

I just bought his new album and want this to just be a hoax. Starman man, come back to us.

Finally had some time to really listen to Blackstar. Terrific album. Not just trying to be kind. Dylan could take some lessons here. Maybe his best work since pre-Berlin Bowie.

Amazing thing is his voice is practically the same. Could listen to his first album and his last album and they could have been recorded back to back. Sad there won't be anymore music from him in this direction.

Here is a video of him doing the man who sold the world on SNL back in the day. Martin Sheen looks pretty young so this has to be around 80 or so,

I just love David Bowie's body of work from the early 70's. 'The Man Who Sold the World', '...Ziggy Stardust...', 'Aladdin Sane', 'Diamond Dogs'. He was one of rock's greatest showmen - hugely influential and never to be forgotten.
