Just wondering if the Texans passed on Young why the Saints wouldn't take him. I don't see/hear that mentioned at all. It's always he's gonna be a Texan or Titan.

I think Carr is on the fast track to being a bust; in Houston anyway. He needs a change of address.

If the Texans are smart they'll draft Vincent. Home town kid, will sell tickets and will give them 100% everytime. Not to mention he's a bonafide winner. The guy has no quit in him at all.

Houston may be able to trade down a few spots and still land Young. Lots of possiblities for the Texans.

I've been reading Leinart to the Saints.

I would be very surprised at this. Unless it's swaping spots with NO, I would be shocked if Tennessee passed on Young. JMO

Houston will draft Vince unless the new coach - Kubiak - doesn't think it's the direction to take. Ownership wants him. Will McNail pull a Jerry? Stay tuned. Meanwhile, Casserly is a mouthpiece. Reeves is calling the shots. And they HAVE contacted Vince.

I keep hearing Bush, Vince no doubt would be a home town favorite but I don't think Houston is going to give up on Carr.

I agree. Chip Brown of the Dallas Morning News that Vincent would make the OL play better, besides, this draft is loaded with OL. With Vincent and Ricky/D.Davis,Andre Johnson, perhaps 1 more WR and a couple of OL, this team would be transformed. In spite of the OL problems, many feel in Houston that Carr just doesn't read defenses very well. Not a Texan fan, but that is what I would do If I were their GM.

I don't see any way that the Titans pass on Young if the Texans and Saints do.

I just did some quick internet research and it appears the Saints have given up on Brooks so they should need a QB.

I don't like the Texans at all but you have to think that Young would be a great fit there. They could trade Carr, get some journeyman QB for a year or more, work in Young. He's not only a winner but the guy is a PLAYMAKER. Every team needs that.

You'd hate to pass on Bush but IMO Young is a perfect fit for the Texans.

If he goes to the Titans and the Texans have to play that kid for the next 10 years they'll rue that day. Bud wins again.

I wonder if the Cowboys would have any interest in Carr at all? He's busting in Houston and needs that zip code change. Perhaps with another team he would at least do better. He loved the Cowboys growing up but said he hates them now. I'm pretty sure that's just the Houston/Dallas "who is better" crap talking. I'm guessing if he could wear the star he'd be ok with it.

If Houston takes Bush, I say Saints take Leinart since they will soon be the Los Angeles Saints. Many on this board are split over whether VY is NFL caliber QB. What if some NFL GMs are feeling the same way. How far could Vince fall assuming his most likley landing place (Titans) pass on him.

I see the Raiders, Lions (maybe), Cardinals or Ravens as possible landing places. I for one dont think he makes it past the Titans, but if GMs are split as the fans are where do you see VY falling to?

1. Houston Texans
2. New Orleans Saints
3. Tennessee Titans
4. New York Jets
5. Green Bay Packers
6/7. Oakland Raiders
6/7. San Francisco 49ers
8. Buffalo Bills
9. Detroit Lions
10. Arizona Cardinals
11. St. Louis Rams
12. Cleveland Browns
13. Baltimore Ravens
14. Philadelphia Eagles
15. Atlanta Falcons
16. Miami Dolphins
17. Minnesota Vikings
18. Dallas Cowboys
19. San Diego Chargers
20. Kansas City Chiefs

Is everyone sure that McNair is going to be with Tennessee in order to tutor Young? He is due an outrageous $25 million dollar bonus. Sure they could rework that number, but he will still be exepensive. Why keep him at all? Volek can be the starter for a couple of years while Young is the back up. I think McNair is gone. He can come back up Bledsoe. :D

Maybe you hire him on as a special assistant to the QB coach or some such thing. Who knows?

This would be a HUGE steal for Miami. David Carr has everything your looking for in a QB. He's tough as nails, great arm, great accuracy, can move a little. If Houston ever gets that guy an O-line and a decent running game, LOOK OUT.

Miami could give them Ricky, their 2nd, and a 3rd and still come out better in the deal.

David Carr > Ricky Williams, 2nd and 3rd round picks

Houston would be crazy to do this.

i dont think this would be a bad move for houston or miami.
I think carr's days in houston are over, he had his chance and did not perform, granted the o-line was awfull, so he never really got a chance, but i feel like houston has given up on him. With Ricky and Davis could have a 1-2 punch at RB, and they could also draft hometown hero vince young. Upgrade the O-line this offseason and with young, williams, davis, and andre johnson, houston could have a solid O going into next season

One of the Houston's sports radio guys had a great point.

He said if the Texans do not take Young that every single time Carr makes a bad play, a bad read, throws an interception, whatever bad he does he will be booed.

I don't care about the Texans much at all because their fans hate on the Boys so much but you have to think this guy is as good as done in Houston.

He's had 4 years and done next to nothing with less than nothing to work with. If they draft Bush his butt will really be under the microscope. If they draft Young he's gone.
