Also, I believe the team offers players the ability to test supplements to make sure no band ingredients in there. All teams know which substance they test for. This is David just being sheepish.

Absolutely true. They are told repeatedly in rooke meetings that before taking any kind of supplement to make sure it has been approved and to submit samples if necessary.

I swear, there's a contingency of posters here who live to call posters/players "idiots," "stupid," "morons," etc -- and that is all they ever post. No analysis of players, team play, anything of merit watsoever.

My ignore list is at two right now. But I'm on the verge of adding a couple more because they always say the same **** in every thread. Do these guys watch the Cowboys or just wait for the next person to slip up.

It's one thing to constructively criticize the team/players (like Alexander, say [sorry to use you as an example, bud]), but it goes both ways.

With these turkeys, it's only negativity and it get old. Anti-depresents are your friends.
It took me more than a decade - I think I joined CZ in 04 - but this is basically why I rarely post anymore.

I can't stand the "this guy's an idiot" post in every thread. And it's not just this Cowboys board either.

It definitely muddies the water.

I do think there are guys out there who just make stupid decisions to take a supplement they haven't sent in to the team to evaluate. Those guys are a liability, but that stuff is going to happen with young players. Or guys like Scandrick who take recreational drugs out of ignorance and get dinged. Maybe you don't want those guys on the roster either (I'd get that), but it's a different category of problem from the guys who have severe medical issues or are just are trying to cheat the system or who are habitual users of banned recreational substances.

But, yeah, how do you extend a key pass rush player once he gets a ding like this? Now the team has to protect itself, and that leaves them open to a guy getting scooped by a more desperate team who's willing to take a chance on it being a one-off problem. Sucks.
Looks like we need to keep going DE in the early rounds... and <gasp> hope the NFL changes it's weed policy so we can keep Gregory. He's been sterling other than the damn weed. Hope is all I have for him, zero expectations.

It's becoming quite clear what the definition of RKG is around the Cowboys organization.

Agreed, but not when Jimmy was here. And this also goes back to the notion that Garrett has as little control as any head coach in the league. Therefore the blame or the credit get limited in his direction. But clock management cant be blamed by anyone but the guy doing it.

It's a totally different era now. Not much is the same in the NFL from when Jimmy was here.

This is very true.

Players are getting popped for everything. For things they pop in their bodies to others that they pop.

In Irving's case, well, he's done both.

I know that there's personal responsibility for every player, and these guys are making legitimate mistakes.

But it is baffling how routine these suspensions are becoming for players that are supposed to be key guys for us.

It just feels like we're being targeted.

Probably not the case, but it just feels that way.

I agree... Clock management was the real reason Irving got suspended.

You seem irritable. Are you taking supplements?
