If nothing else, it answers anyone's question about why it might be a 2nd round tender and not a 1st round tender. And last I checked, the difference on that was $1 million. So yeah, let the people making excuses for him brush off that $1 million too as "no big deal".

Show me the post where I said or insinuated that if he got suspended it wouldn't hurt the team. As far as these groups they don't really care about people like Irving. They care about big names not people only football fans know about.

I don't think it potentially affects the Cowboys until it does. This is people for the most part being judgmental and putting their views on others as the only way to do things. If it is problematic as far as this being on the nfl radar ok I'll take back what I said. If not I stand by what I posted. If he gets disciplined y'all should be upset but it seems some people (yes I'm including you lol) want others punished because they live lives differently than them and hide by you know how Goddell does things. I don't really think that there is anything there, on this angle. I mean, Goodell could just take the position that the NFL is not trying to preside over what players do in their own bedrooms. The NFL could simply say that they are protecting the Image of the NFL. So long as you aren't posting things that are not against the guidelines of the NFL, your good.

I think that would work but I don't know, I'm not a Lawyer. I do, however, know this. To date, if Goodell wants to do it, it usually stands up.

He could, but there's a difference in benching a player who is accused of domestic abuse and one who brags about having sex with two women with his wife's consent. What is he "protecting the image of the NFL" from? Is he saying having sex with two women is inappropriate? Is he saying an NFL player on his own social media platform talking about having sex with two women is inappropriate?

I agree with what's being said about Goodell being able to do what he wants under the guise of conduct detrimental to the league, but he is driven in that regard by public opinion. If there's no public outcry about what Irving did, which isn't illegal, then why would he want to possibly incur a backlash?

I don't see it, but of course, many things that Goodell does don't make sense to me.
