I do like Irving as well. Comes off the ball quick like Lett used to and just makes plays. The Boys may have gotten lucky getting him off the Chiefs' practice squad. Should play a major role in the DL rotation. Still only 22 years old, wow.

Please don't bash me, but that is who I thought about in watching that video. Leon "Big Cat" Lett.

He had a domestic violence accusation in his past. I think that had something to do with it.

Yes there was a domestic violence incident followed by a riot in watch he was picture carrying a stop sign through the streets. He was at that time dismissed from his college team.

But nobody seems to care about it, though. I don't understand why Hardy got so much flak and the dozens of guys like Irving with similar character questions just get ignored.

People are hypocrites.

Did he have a DV incident? If he did I either forgot or never knew. I just remember the stop sign incident, which wasn't that much.

Makes sense that there would be something else because I don't think the stop sign would be enough to make him go undrafted.

It always surprises me how little circumstances matter and how much promotion and popular opinion can influence a group. It's crazy what people will choose to believe to feel part of a larger group.

Greg Hardy is an overrated Diva. Let's bash him!!!! Especially since he didn't have a monster 15 sacks season!

David Irving is someone we stole from Kansas City. Let's embrace him!!!! Especially since he was an impact player his first week here and through the end of the season!

lolololololol

No where close to the same situations. Hardy was WAY worse than D.Irving and it's not even close. This is coming from an avid Iowa State fan that knew of the situation.

Good lord...

Nope....DT

Situational pass rusher.....And a good one.;)

Not giving Ryan Russell any credit.....Watch his highlight reel....It's pretty good.

We'll see. A 6'7" guy is a great asset at LDE. It's the direction that QBs throw to most frequently because most are right handed. Having to throw over and around a wingspan like that creates problems. Not to mention he's pretty good against the run and can bend the edge. I like Russell too, but this guy just screams "playmaker" to me. Which we desperately need on the front 4.

Tell that to the victim.

It was DV, but I don't think to the extent of Hardy (though all DV is disgusting). I think the big difference is remorse; Hardy has never shown it.

Because Hardy had the misfortune to be the next person accused right after the NFL was caught covering up the Ray Rice situation. Which meant the NFL had to make an example of him to try to rebuild their image.

your making an assumption that you know who the victim is without any knowledge of the incident or any facts. To compare it to the Hardy incident just derailed what could have been a good thread.

I think it has more to do with Hardy being how he is. He's a real aggressive "Rah RAH" guy. That intimidates some people. No one really knows Irving's character yet.

Except, like Lett, Irving is most disruptive playing inside.
