your making an assumption that you know who the victim is without any knowledge of the incident or any facts. To compare it to the Hardy incident just derailed what could have been a good thread.

Can you be charged of Domestic Violence and there not be at least an alleged victim?

Just asking.

Marinelli has already mentioned that Irving will get looks at LDE, and compared him somewhat to Leon Lett in terms of tall guys that can bend well, etc.

So far through OTA's, etc...it's been Russell getting a good deal of 1st team reps. Terrell McClain has also seemingly been running with the 1st team quite a bit at the 1-tech vs. Thornton so far. When the pads come on, it'll be interesting.

I'm a fan of Irving & mentioned a while ago that I thought he has a chance to start at LDE. That was also during the time that Marinelli mentioned that Russell had to step it up prior to OTA's, etc. Apparently Russell has been doing much better, which is good for the D-Line rotation. Irving should factor in quite a bit regardless.

I'm not, and it didn't.

But if you'd like to talk about him as a player more, I'm certainly not stopping you.

I like him more than Gregory at this point.

Watching those highlights, Irving was quite unlucky not getting a few of those sacks. Seems coverage slipped in the backfield a second too soon on many of those plays, but he looked real good against the run. I remember that New Orleans game.

Well, yeah! He is eligible to play!

Seriously, I liked what he brought last year and think he may be an impact player for us.

Considering Gregory has barely played, I like him more too.

I love this kid. I think he starts at LDE first 4 games. And he might not give up the position. I could see D Law moving to RDE when he returns. With Gregory as designated pass rusher. In limited playing time, look how disruptive Irving was...

You love him based on what exactly?

It really doesnt matter who starts, we all know its by default. Someone has to start.

Irving will be a rotational guy and a good depth guy but I think people are starting to buy a bit too much into the hype.

Same with Russell.

The ex-Iowa State prospect was dismissed from the program and did not play in 2014, as he was charged with fifth-degree theft, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief in connection with a student riot back in April. In 2013, Irving was also arrested on a domestic assault charge against his girlfriend. It will be interesting to see which team, if any, rolls the dice in the draft on Irving. Brandt notes that Irving "had a good workout, went through some bag drills, and is a potential sleeper prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft."

He had a domestic violence accusation in his past. I think that had something to do with it.

In trying to look at this objectively, if that was the starting lineup for the Eagles or Giants or Skins, I suspect many here would be laughing at that starting 11 (+1 DB).
