I remember reading the boys had interest in Jenkins leading up to the draft. Would def bring some feistiness to the secondary and upgrade the soon to be ex boy Carr.

They had interest in Irvin also. Both would upgrade our roster.

True not discounting that at all. If you had to pick one of the two I would lean towards Jenkins at this point. Especially with all the speculation leading towards Jack at number 4.

But i thought SLB is arguably the least important position in Marinelli's D? And we're going to overpay for one in FA???? Hmmmm. I like Irvin, but i would assume he's going to look for DE $$$ as a pass rusher. He'll get that $$ elsewhere.

Jenkins makes more sense.

If we go with Jenkins, would we go back to calling more zone coverages?

Cause, if what I was reading was correct, he is a better zone corner than man to man coverage

Two of those (Berry and Jackson) will never make it to free agency.

So a projected secondary could be Jenkins, Ramsey, Scandrick, Weddle, and Jones.

Then just load up on DL throughout the rest of the draft. Maybe get Hardy back.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I am all for getting the defensive backs in free agency. Weddle and Heyward. That would allow for a much cleaner draft where there is not a pressing need for bodies.

It is very tough to expect DBs to come in an contribute immediately as rookies. Far easier for linemen.

I love it. You guys fill in the positions, I just look forward to the day when Carr, Mo and Wilcox are released. All 3 were embarrassing tacklers much less bad cover men.

I actually remember the exact opposite. IIRC Jenkins was taken off their draft board for character/off the field issues. I could be wrong but I'm almost certain of it.

Jackson MIGHT make it to FA if negotiations with Miller get difficult. Broncos still have to figure out what to do with Osweiller and Travathon (would love to get him to Dallas), also.

If the Broncos get Miller, and Osweiller locked down, Jackson may be left to the FA waters where he will command (possibly) more than the Broncos can afford to choke down. It will be interesting to see what they do with Ware this off-season, also.

He would also be a good option
There are some cb's going to hit the market

yup Trumaine Johnson allowed a 55.0 passer rating when targeted, second to only Norman this season among corners. and he had 7 ints.. crazy how he isn't getting as much buzz.. Id love to have him on the cowboys

With 5 or 6 teams with 50+ million in cap space (he'll Jacksonville has 80 mil in space) it is gonna sure be fun getting into bidding wars with them.

Would love to get Janoris Jenkins tho.

It's going to be interesting to see what Denver does. They are on the hook for 2.5 million for Payton, if he retires/cut before 3/9/16. After that, his 21.5 is fully guaranteed.

What will Denver pay Osweiler and what will the market drive for him? It's a really interesting question.

I think you may be right now that you brought that up. Forgot he was a character issue guy.
