I'd prefer they spend FA dollars on defense so this would be a step in the right direction.

I'm with this.

I would prefer allocating cap money to signing vets on defense..

and use draft picks on offense.

This is the only time I can remember since the salary cap era started..

that we ever had this much cap money AND a top 4 draft pick along with high picks in the other rounds to immediately fix our problems.

We have to knock this off-season out of the ball park.

Jenkins would be a perfect fit if the team plans to go back to a zone heavy scheme. Im not sure about Irvin. He's already 28 and has been used mostly as a pass rusher. Not sure where he fits in this scheme. He's got the name though, I'll give you that.

Would've been better off keeping our first round pick in 2012 and taking Janoris in the 2nd that year rather than trading up for Claiborne. So yes, I'd be fine with signing Janoris now.

2. Janoris Jenkins? I'm okay with that.
3. Bruce Irvin? He's a hybrid 3-4 OLB that doesn't have a fit in our 4-3 SLB scheme, will want pass-rushing money and is an extremely dirty player on-the-field. All arrows point to HELL NO!!!!!
I don't like him on all kinds of levels, but to sum it all up, he wouldn't be in any way effective in our defense and others...

would have to look at it that way.......cause as a pure SAM isn't on the field enough to warrant moving on, Cowboys are in nickel majority of snaps.

Jenkins did have off the field concerns coming into the NFL. Was a superstar player at FSU and ended up transferring to North Alabama (D2) but I haven't heard anything bad in regards to off the field issues since.

Would love to add Jenkins to this team but you know he's going to be looking for a huge payday and with elite corners being a premium in the NFL. You better believe it'll be some competition in trying to sign Jenkins this offseason.

Carr made Calvin Johnson and Brandon Marshall look like legends lol....hardly slouches lol.

In regards to getting eaten little by little........I was told that's what Maranelli wants. "Bend but don't break". Then get a turnover from a strip or a bad thrown ball by the quarterback. Isn't that why he asks his corner to play 10 yards off the receivers? No matter who we get....Janoris Jenkins or whoever....they will come in here and do the same exact thing. Both Carr and Claiborne were fine with technique before they got here.

What scrub are you referring to that Carr made look like a legend? Jenkins gambles. We saw that in the game against the Cowboys. Gamble and get a pick and then get beat deep by 70 yards. I want Jenkins though. I'm a fan. But I also know with him comes getting beat. And I'm fine with that. Hopefully he's allowed to play man and not 10 yards off his guy.

So a projected secondary could be Jenkins, Ramsey, Scandrick, Weddle, and Jones.

Then just load up on DL throughout the rest of the draft. Maybe get Hardy back.

Jenkins or Trumain Johnson, Weddle, and Lamar Miller if below 5-6/M a year bc no guarantee RB will be taken in top 3 rds with the team's recent glamorization of DMc's great rushing season, etc. Don't know of the possible 1 techs that could be had on a mid tier contract?
